Session 23 - Transcript
00:02 DM: "Oh, my."
00:02 Saturno: "Literally."
00:02 DM: "Get a recap."
00:04 Mercurio: "Freddy Five Bear."
00:06 DM: "Yeah."
00:06 Irredel: "you*..."
00:06 DM: "All right. Tris, are you ready with the recap?"
00:13 Sildir: "Yep."
00:14 DM: "OK. Give me one second. I'm going to start the usual recording, and then I'll let you take it away. This is which session? 23, I believe. Yeah, 23. All right, everyone, welcome to Phantom Chains, session 23. Justin, go ahead and give us the recap, please."
00:54 Sildir: "Sure. So last session was 22. Started off with a note about Solalis heading off to help Arena caravan back to the village of Barovia. So that's where Scylla is."
01:19 DM: "Thank you."
01:13 Sildir: "There's also something of a monologue from Scylla on the current state of things at the beginning, kind of prompted by the DM at the time. But we were starting off the day with a lot to do. So yeah, we had to basically deal with the... I mean, Iridel and her transformation, as well as the business with the Wachter daughter. So two really big things that we did kind of like take care of, along with like the ever-present threat of Strahd and managing all the other interested parties in town. But we decide..."
02:09 DM: "Okay."
02:11 Sildir: "I guess everyone kind of hears Sildur out and sees that he's pretty stressed. So Mercurio also gives him a bardic inspiration to turn on Ember, give him a pep talk. Iridel is still over at the church. But yeah, so Mercurio says, like, we might as well all go to the Wachter house, including Sildur for now, to keep things moving and keep things action-oriented. um so we go to wactor's house the butler greets us as usual and then we go and meet with lady wactor where we make the big decision to kind of reveal that victor has been uh our kind of uh magician correspondent that's supposed to be helping uh with her daughter um Also, on the way back to the Vlakovich Manor, which is where we're going with Lady Wachter now, so she can help Victor. We discussed the idea that Solalis has a crush on Irina, since he likes to help her so much. But he never seems to care to help anybody else. We made it to the manor. Victor is pretty shocked by Wachter and Stella's physical form being there. Stella being Lady Wachter's daughter. let's see so they go upstairs and they start making the preparation with Mercurio helping as much as possible and then back at the church which like Ember accompanied Sildur to and Saturno stayed back with Mercurio to help out there we make our way down to the basement Scylla pulls out his iconic lantern, which he got in session two or something."
04:01 DM: "Okay."
04:02 Sildir: "I'm going to try to make that happen. My lantern, it's a thing. We find that Lyrdal is there, awake, and explaining the Dewey Decimal System to the two fathers of the church there. It doesn't seem too horrible of a state,"
04:19 DM: "Bye."
04:18 Sildir: "although it's definitely kind of a coping mechanism for her too. We start talking to the fathers about the whole situation, about the crushed moonstone, and they're able to give us some more insight into that, and they tell us that that's probably what's countering the effects of the wolfsbane potion and why she's going through a transformation in the first place. Um... And, like, for now, Ember takes hold of the Bag of Holding with the Moonstone in it and keeps her distance from Iridil overall, at least in the little, like, basement room we're in. Let's see. We also discussed a little bit that the people in the tanks of the lab that we found, they were manufactured thralls, and that's where all the, like... kind of deformed assassins we're coming from, which adds up for sure. Um, but everyone's prepared. The two fathers have silvered short swords. Sildur is obviously like a little bit worried by that, but, um, you know, they're, they're thinking through it logically. And honestly, I think, um, Irdil probably was okay with it too. Um, but there's also some talk of a, um, Legdanah, who previously like purged the world of werewolves, not werewolves, uh, of vampires and also brought werewolves to powerlessness."
05:59 Irredel: "like a special interest, uh,"
05:56 Sildir: "So this is something that Sildur has like a special interest in now basically. Um, and the thing about it,"
06:01 Irredel: "and the thing about it."
06:02 Sildir: "like what brought it up to is that she was also like empowered by the morning Lord. Um,"
06:02 Irredel: "my question is: it lug donna or bog donna?"
06:12 DM: "Log."
06:13 Irredel: "okay*."
06:15 Sildir: "um, Yeah, she was given her weapon, which is a legendary weapon that is the one that took out the werewolves and the vampires by an angel in the form of a raven. Let me see. It's the holy symbol of ravenkind."
06:39 DM: "Mm-hmm."
06:41 Sildir: "What else? At the end of her crusades, the weapon was lost. she faced a horrible demon lord on yesterhill and she did defeat him but succumbed to her injuries and her and her body um or sorry obviously her and her body but her and her weapon uh were lost to time no one really knows where she is or like you know where her final resting place was which is probably the same place that her weapon was um but yeah there were different people related to her as well that were adventuring with her. So there was Livius, the skilled archer, and Ismark the Great, who, of course, is Ismark's ancestor, like the Ismark we know. And there was even a statue of him in the village of Barovia. Let's see. They agree to give me the Lugdana scriptures before I go. What else? All right, this is taking longer than I thought. I have to BRB to get stuff out of the oven, but I'll be like a minute."
07:55 DM: "No worries. But also for reference, if you want to read more about Lugdana and what the party knows about her, she does have a lore note on the Emerald Vault. So I encourage you all to check it out if you're interested."
08:11 Irredel: "I was asking because Bogdana is like an actual name and it means like God giver."
08:17 DM: "Oh,"
08:17 Irredel: "So,"
08:17 DM: "wow. Let's see."
08:20 Irredel: "yeah."
08:21 DM: "What's the origin of that?"
08:23 Irredel: "It's like Eastern European."
08:25 DM: "I see."
08:25 Irredel: "It's a Slavic name."
08:28 DM: "Yeah, that's kind of in line with a lot of the names in this module."
08:40 Mercurio: "spooky vampires and mist and darkness,"
08:45 DM: "Yeah."
08:45 Mercurio: "very Eastern European coded."
08:54 DM: "Maja does draw a lot of inspiration from classic vampire stories like Dracula and the like. Mm-hmm."
09:06 Sildir: "Alright, and I'm back."
09:07 Irredel: "I hope not."
09:09 Sildir: "I'll probably take a look through the notes on her, because I think it's pretty Sildur-relevant, it seems. Like, basically, recapping what I just said, she seems like the most famous paladin of all time in Barovia. At least that we know of. So, continuing on with my recap... Midnight finally arrives at the church. Iridale starts to feel a fire burning within her. Her muscles bulge, strain, struggles against her shackles. Her mouth elongates into a snout, and she struggles against her restraints. Um... Stiller rushes in to help, and she bites his arm, sinking her teeth in. Um... She gets one... Like, the last thing she's able to say is that she's sorry, and asks him not to hurt... Like, make sure she can't hurt anybody else. Um... Before Silda really has anything to say about it, his arm has been basically cut off by Father Lucian and Father Bryce. They do briefly explain themselves, but they acted with haste because they needed to. But Iridel finds herself in a dream again, running through the woods with a hunger. And she sees a woman there once again offering her power. There is a choice given to her. And after Iridel kind of explores like... I would say some defining characteristics about her. She needs to feel like she's in control. She needs to have a regimented approach to things, a logical approach to things. She decides that in this strange world... she might have to take a chance."
11:12 DM: "Bye."
11:11 Sildir: "And after getting some assurances from the woman offering her power, she agrees to try it out. So she takes the woman's hand and pulls her up. And at that point, we cut over to the manor. At the manor, they're taking, so, you know, Mercurio, Saturno, Lactor, and Victor are taking their positions around the circle, getting ready to perform. um, mercurio is there to stabilize and assist. mercurio and wachter are there too- oh wait, i think it's victor- and wachter are there to actually perform."
11:50 DM: "That's correct. Mercuria is also there assisting right now."
11:50 Sildir: "so just going to update my notes um and saturno like stabilize and assists."
11:57 DM: "Yeah."
11:57 Sildir: "and then Victor and Wachter are like the lead, and then there is a ritual stone that has to be held in place and is definitely prone to flying away, and Saturno, with the highest strength in that group, took care of that job."
12:11 DM: "Also, to clarify, the ritual stone is the hearthstone that you recovered from the windmill."
12:17 Sildir: "Good point. Yeah,"
12:21 DM: "Yeah."
12:19 Sildir: "sometimes I'm taking notes so fast that stuff just doesn't... But yeah, so Mercurio casts Enhance Ability on Saturno and himself. Victor is doing pretty well. Wacker is doing pretty well. Mercurio, unfortunately, low rolls Arcana. But with everyone focusing in, it was actually a high enough roll that everyone was able to hang in. Saturno high rolls the Strength check. and is able to hold the stone down easily. There's a ghostly form of stealth that appears and Mercurio does help hugely here by keeping Wachter less emotional and calming her down as she sees her conscious daughter for the first time in probably months, if not longer. And then It works. Stella's spirit goes back into Stella's body. You kind of get a glimpse of a real person behind her eyes for a second, and then she knocks out from exhaustion. Wachter just starts to carry her home. Victor collapses on the ground, almost surprised that it worked. And the remaining folks there have definitely a congratulatory moment with each other. But Mercurio and Saturno, dedicated and loyal as always, leave pretty quickly to get to the church. But on the way over, they do take a moment to appreciate each other, which is always nice."
14:03 DM: "Okay."
14:05 Sildir: "Back to the church now. Irdel has come to and is fully back to herself. And looks pretty good. Better than she's looked in a while. At least the past couple days. Or maybe since she got bit, even. Who knows. Sildur's wound is wrapped. Definitely missing an arm. At the elbow, at least. And... Mercurio and Serturno finally step in. Um... Everyone wants to know kind of what happened and how Erdal got through it. And I think Erdal kind of sums it up with it being willpower more than anything. And Ember and Sildur take a moment where Ember is kind of just like, you know, look, Look at me. I'm technically missing an arm too, but we're doing all right, aren't we? So you got this, pal. And it was definitely like a nice moment between those two characters. And really, pretty much everybody was really kind and supportive, both to Sildur and Iredil, and Sildur and Iredil were to each other as well. I think at this point we've all been through so much together and survived so much that we can't help but support each other and even losing an arm for a friend is, in this group, it's acceptable and we know it could happen at any time. We could die for each other. So I think that's kind of where we're all coming from in that moment."
16:03 DM: "A bond that even deserves a name, perhaps."
16:07 Sildir: "Yeah, I think we should not decide on the spot."
16:10 DM: "Yeah, yeah, yeah."
16:10 Sildir: "I think we should come up with some names and put a poll."
16:14 DM: "OK,"
16:13 Sildir: "I think that would be the coolest way to do it."
16:14 DM: "cool."
16:16 Sildir: "So maybe people type your wrecks and phantom chains and we can pull it out. But we stay in the church together for a bit. We actually sleep there. with Iridal saying that she will stay there no matter what, and then Sildur being pretty stubborn too, and then finally everybody else was like, well, if Grandpa's staying too, then we're all staying."
16:41 DM: "Yeah."
16:41 Sildir: "So they didn't want to just needlessly split up the group, and I think we'd all been through so much. We all wanted to just... Stay together. Mercurio read a book overnight, though. The same book that came from the attic at the Volekovic Manor. He identifies the book to be some kind of Tome of Strahd. And he becomes attuned to it. It's actually the Tome of Strahd. Sorry, I shouldn't be joking about this."
17:12 DM: "No, that's good."
17:13 Sildir: "So everyone understands. But when it happens, we all fly into a vision. where we're seeing Strahd's childhood. And it's a situation where we show up and Strahd basically thinks like we're a tutoring group that his father has hired. And we learn a couple of things. We learn of Rahadin, who is in charge of young Strahd's teaching and lessons. But I think if we pay attention, we'll probably see Rahadin's name come up a lot. We learn that Strahd's father's name is King Barov. Let's see. We also learn that Strahd is having a brother, soon to be born, at least at this point in time, and his brother's name is going to be Sergei. we try to talk to him a little bit about like his duty and his future responsibilities and, and just seeing like what he, what his current outlook is. Um, so there asks him specifically if there are vampires in the land and straw basically treats us like we asked him about a fairy tale, which is pretty interesting. Finally, we hear the voice of an adult Strahd, the one we're more familiar with, yelling, and yet the past was full of regret. And then we awake, all of us. Which I guess notably, going into the vision, we heard him saying instead, I am the ancient, I am the land. Just in case that comes up again. Which it very well might. And that's my recap. Sure. All right. I see."
18:55 DM: "indeed very good recap thank you tristan that was one of the longer ones that was about like 17 minutes looks like um but yeah thanks for that also a quick clarification um you did encounter rawhiden briefly like at the very beginning of the campaign uh you he excuse me He was a messenger who delivered Strahd's proclamation at the end of the siege on Barovia village. And when you spoke to Kasimir, he also confirmed that that person was Rahadin."
19:34 Sildir: "Was that the in-person session?"
19:38 Mercurio: "Yes."
19:38 DM: "It might have been."
19:39 Mercurio: "Yeah."
19:39 DM: "Yeah. Okay. Yeah."
19:40 Sildir: "That's probably why I don't remember it."
19:45 DM: "Yeah."
19:42 Sildir: "Cause I don't think I took similar notes on that one."
19:48 Irredel: "which we might actually, you know, if there's been pointing*..."
19:52 DM: "No,"
19:48 Sildir: "Which we might actually be on session 24 technically in that case."
19:52 DM: "I accounted for that."
19:54 Sildir: "Okay."
19:53 DM: "Or this is session 23."
19:56 Sildir: "Then I did take some notes. I guess I just didn't take very good ones."
19:59 DM: "Yeah. It was a while ago, so I don't blame you. But with that out of the way,"
20:05 Sildir: "Savannah was also dying at the time."
20:09 DM: "that's true. Yeah,"
20:10 Sildir: "She was on mute."
20:10 DM: "that's right. Yeah. I'm going to switch us."
20:15 Sildir: "You are muted, but yeah."
20:16 DM: "I'm going to put us in the church again. Now let's move some things around. Let's see. All right. Let me know when you guys are all loading it to the scene. OK."
20:53 Sildir: "I am loaded in."
20:56 Saturno: "And me too."
20:57 Sildir: "Let me see if I'm long rested up."
20:59 Ember: "I'm here."
21:04 DM: "Oh, yeah, that's right. If you haven't already, we did long rest at the end of the last session. But if you haven't done that on your character sheets, go ahead and do that now. Let me get the list out of the scene. He's no longer with us."
21:23 Sildir: "He's with Irina,"
21:24 DM: "Yeah, he is. All right."
21:26 Sildir: "his girlfriend."
21:27 DM: "So you all awake in the pews of the Church of St. Andrew in Wallachia. It's about eight in the morning right now. I believe four of you were laying about in various pews here. And Iridal insisted upon staying chained up in the basement for the night. As you awake, you hear some rustling and you see that Father Bryce is going about his morning duties, tidying up some stuff in the church, seems to be putting together some books and such away. It looks like he's probably getting ready for some kind of morning service to happen somewhat soonish. Yeah, you're all awake. Having just overcome a pretty significant hurdle in your journeys, how is everyone feeling? What's everyone's, how do I say, mental state like right now?"
22:33 Sildir: "I mean, I'm a little upset about my arm,"
22:36 DM: "Understandably so."
22:36 Sildir: "but dealing with it. Overall, though, I think that when I'm trying to kind of coach myself through what's happening, I do realize that it could have gone worse so far. There are moments where I could have died and where other people could have died. And so... trying to get up and failing to do so because counting on my arm, seeing it's gone, I look down at it and think, you know, could be a lot worse. Let's see what I can do."
23:20 DM: "Pretty optimistic outlook, I think, all things considered. But, you know, maybe that's just failure. Anyone else?"
23:37 Sildir: "Thank you."
23:31 Ember: "Amber is pretty shaken up about what happened and she's sort of reliving her own memories of losing her arm after seeing what happened to Sylvia and like trying to think of ways to help him if he ever needs it. Except he wants to look out for her and that sort of thing."
23:51 DM: "Okay. Sounds good. And as you guys are moving about, rising from your slumber, you'll see Bryce duck down into the basement for a moment, and then a few minutes later, he brings out a very disheveled-looking Iridil back up from the basement below."
24:19 Irredel: "Well, good morning everyone."
24:24 Sildir: "There she is."
24:25 Mercurio: "Morning. Hmm."
24:26 Sildir: "Welcome back to the land of the non-werewolves."
24:32 Ember: "How are you feeling?"
24:36 Sildir: "Personal questions."
24:36 Irredel: "Surprisingly well rested."
24:40 Ember: "It's good to hear."
24:42 Irredel: "The fear of what would have happened was weighing on me perhaps more than I would have would have realized. No, I believe that fear has now just been replaced with horrible, horrible guilt. And she's going to look at Sildur's arm. Stump."
25:06 Ember: "Shalini."
25:09 DM: "Also, one question for Iridel. I know before when you originally had your werewolf bite, the wound from that bite never healed fully as the symptom of being afflicted with lycanthropy. I know at the time you wrapped it up and kept it hidden. Is it still wrapped up? OK. Yeah, makes sense. Still not something that you want people to be looking at."
25:32 Irredel: "yes definitely would have like just kept that mm-hmm*..."
25:51 DM: "as you all are chattering amongst yourselves,"
25:53 Sildir: "Stop."
25:53 DM: "you see the door to the church open, and in steps Henrik van der Voort, the coffee maker, known to be a good friend of Father Lucian. He comes in, and he looks to you all, scanning over you with some apprehension, and then he lands on Saturno, and notices the halberd that she's wearing strapped to her back. Henrik will go up to Saturno. I see you still have my old halberd. I hope it's been serving you well."
26:37 Saturno: "keeping us all safe thank you again for it*..."
26:40 DM: "Of course, in my day, well, mine and Lucian's day, the two of us made quite the formidable pair defending Palaki from all manner of beasts and creatures. I found that in our battles, having a trusted friend by my side brought out my, well,"
27:02 Ember: "I'm not on my, well,"
27:05 DM: "my full fighting potential."
27:06 Ember: "I hope that,"
27:07 DM: "I hope that you have someone like that with you."
27:08 Ember: "I hope that we can have trouble with that."
27:15 Saturno: "I think I do."
27:18 DM: "It seems you might have more than just one,"
27:21 Saturno: "Yeah."
27:21 DM: "seeing as you all are still together. I must admit, when we all first met, I was not sure you could be considered allies. And as he says that,"
27:33 Ember: "And then, uh, Paul, uh, drank it. Um,"
27:33 DM: "you all recall that night when you burst into Hendrik's shop."
27:38 Ember: "I don't know. I don't know. I think it's more of a, you know,"
27:39 DM: "I believe Sildur kicked in the door and Mercurio was immediately trying to play a tune on his flute to calm him."
27:45 Ember: "a problem."
27:46 Sildir: "Yep, that's correct."
27:45 Ember: "I don't know. I don't know."
27:50 DM: "Yeah,"
27:50 Sildir: "Not 20, by the way."
27:52 DM: "it was."
27:54 Ember: "I don't know."
27:53 DM: "I think it was two 20s back-to-back or something like that."
27:55 Ember: "I don't know."
27:55 DM: "I don't know if it was two, but there wasn't that 20 in there."
27:56 Ember: "I don't know. I don't know."
28:01 DM: "But yeah, Henrik looks to you all, and he pats a hand on Saturno's shoulder."
28:07 Ember: "And on that note,"
28:09 DM: "Just remember that when you're in the thick of it, if you have friends like that, you can count on them to hold you up. And hearing these words,"
28:15 Ember: "I'd like to thank you all for joining us today."
28:20 DM: "you feel inspired and you gain a new ability."
28:27 Saturno: "Uh-oh. What is it?"
28:29 DM: "Let me add it over to you. Okay."
28:32 Saturno: "Is it lettuce diarrhea?"
28:37 Mercurio: "Just in time for summer."
28:41 Saturno: "Gang,"
28:40 DM: "Oh my gosh. Yeah,"
28:41 Saturno: "we're going to get so thin."
28:44 DM: "you should see it under your features tab. I don't know why it's listed as a monster feature. It's not a monster feature. I'll edit that later. Okay. And with that,"
29:05 Ember: "Thank you."
29:06 DM: "Henrik looks to you all. I wish you all good luck on your journeys, and I hope you all find whatever it is that you're looking for. And Henrik will leave the church."
29:23 Saturno: "what's the new ability it's under features*..."
29:26 DM: "Yes, you should see it. It's called Double Buster. Yeah, you might have some fun with that one."
29:38 Saturno: "i see it oh it's like playing persona*..."
29:50 DM: "It's like playing Persona. So with that, what is everyone's immediate next plan? What is the party trying to do right now?"
30:08 Sildir: "We have to help Erwin pretty badly."
30:10 DM: "Mm-hmm."
30:11 Saturno: "Yeah."
30:11 DM: "That's true."
30:13 Sildir: "I'm, like, probably... Assuming that we, like, typically, like, get into some state of, like, sleepiness. Like, we... Maybe we don't, like, fully take off our armor or whatever, but people get ready for bed."
30:30 DM: "Yeah, yeah."
30:30 Sildir: "You see Sildur doing the opposite of that now. Like, he's getting ready to go."
30:34 DM: "Mm-hmm."
30:35 Sildir: "And you see him... Probably, like, playing around with, like, his shield and a rope or, like, whatever's around the church to, like, see if he can, like,"
30:43 DM: "Excuse me."
30:43 Sildir: "tie it to his arm or something. Don't know how successful he would be at that, but you see him trying. And I think much like the beginning of last session, Sildur is just trying to, like, put aside, like, what has happened and is trying to think about what what he can do next um so he's definitely like thinking and muttering to himself about erwin and his father and like what could be happening and probably would bring it up to the group if no one else did*..."
31:27 DM: "What are people saying in response?"
31:30 Mercurio: "I think Mercurio, uh, it's kind of in a quiet, somber mood. Cause he's, he's happy that they just made it through all the hurdles. They just made it through. And there's like a little bit relief of relief there, but then there's still so much more to do immediately. And it feels like time is kind of against them."
31:50 DM: "Mm-hmm."
31:51 Mercurio: "Um,"
31:52 Irredel: "Okay."
31:52 Mercurio: "and yeah, he's definitely, when Sylvia brings that up, he's going to like, uh, jump on it because he's been thinking about. he's been thinking about the winery. yeah,"
32:07 Saturno: "I look in my bag. Oh, sorry, go ahead."
32:09 Ember: "Thank you."
32:10 Mercurio: "just, we need to probably get going there as soon as we possibly can. I mean, do we all have our bags packed? are we? are we ready for the journey*?"
32:26 Saturno: "I'm fumbling through my bag and I pull out a rope and a crowbar and I was like, hey, maybe you can use this. And I pass it to Sildir."
32:38 Irredel: "here. I can't watch you struggle with that alone. let me help out,"
32:40 Ember: "I don't know. I almost fall."
32:43 Irredel: "and I'm gonna like snatch the roping crowbar from Saturno,"
32:38 Sildir: "okay you can you can help but just know this this is uh this is a a copper*..."
32:49 Irredel: "maybe a little more aggressively than I normally would have, and like walk over to Sildur and try and help out."
32:53 Saturno: "I almost fall."
32:58 Irredel: "Thank you."
33:06 Sildir: "brass and iron alloy,"
33:11 Ember: "Bye-bye."
33:09 Sildir: "so that crowbar might not play too well with with certain parts of my armor and please make sure you don't scratch it. it's been really hard to not do that with only one arm and fumbling with my shield against my arm armor- well, my stump armor, but carefully, see if you can tie this to my arm- my, not arm,"
33:35 Irredel: "Hmm. Yes,"
33:38 Sildir: "I guess Mercurial."
33:39 Irredel: "material."
33:40 Ember: "Okay. Okay."
33:40 Irredel: "The trivia."
33:39 Sildir: "you'll only have to pack enough wine for the trip there, huh?"
33:43 DM: "Oh, yes. Can you check if you have the right mic on?"
33:50 Mercurio: "What was that?"
33:52 Sildir: "I said, I guess you'll only have to pack enough wine for the trip there, huh?"
33:56 Mercurio: "Well..."
33:56 Sildir: "Because we're going to a winery after all."
33:58 Mercurio: "Well... About that, we're actually running a little low on supplies. I felt bad asking for any more. Since I know they They can't get any more until the winery mystery is solved. So it's going to be a dry trip up there. So if we could make it there quickly, that would be ideal. Plus, I mean, it's been so long, you know, like it's pretty concerning."
34:36 Sildir: "Yeah, I wish we could have gone sooner, but we've got to take care of our own first, and I wasn't ready to just let Valaki sit, but I feel like it's in good shape now."
34:48 Saturno: "I think we've done a lot. We can afford to take care of the situation, considering how much they've done for us as well."
35:03 Sildir: "I think so."
35:07 Irredel: "I think I figured out what to do."
35:07 Sildir: "I think I figured out what to do. Oh yeah."
35:11 Irredel: "I had extra bandages because of the wound on my arm."
35:16 Sildir: "She got. So we'll touch the shield directly."
35:14 Irredel: "I can go ahead and wrap the crowbar in them so it won't touch the shield directly. And so that should alleviate some of the scratching concerns."
35:19 Sildir: "And so that's what we can make some scratching concerns. So I'll take advantage of that."
35:24 Irredel: "So I'll take the bandages out and wrap up the crowbar."
35:25 Sildir: "So I'm going to do that."
35:28 Irredel: "How well do I do in terms of jerry-rigging this stuff to help out Sildur?"
35:34 DM: "I'll say if somebody or anyone wants to make the appropriate check to try to affix this shield to some kind of crowbar situation, that's going to be a check with either Tinker's tools or Smith's tools, or you can make a case for something else if you feel like that would be appropriate. But it will be some kind of check."
35:50 Sildir: "I'm going to like have directed Airedale through it with my Smith tools. So I'm just going to roll at this advantage."
36:07 DM: "So a 9."
36:08 Sildir: "We got a nine."
35:50 Irredel: "Maybe something like that."
36:10 DM: "I was going to say this is going to be a 10. I probably should have said that before. So unfortunately, a 9 won't quite do it. I'll, yeah,"
36:18 Sildir: "Maybe someone could help her out and get her the extra point."
36:20 DM: "if somebody else."
36:21 Mercurio: "I believe Sporty, I mean, I believe Ember, you have some woodworking tools, right?"
36:32 Ember: "I do. Can you hear me okay,"
36:30 Mercurio: "Maybe you could help fashion something."
36:33 Ember: "by the way?"
36:34 Sildir: "Yeah,"
36:34 DM: "Yeah,"
36:35 Mercurio: "Yeah,"
36:34 Sildir: "we can hear you now."
36:35 Saturno: "Yep."
36:35 Mercurio: "you sound good now, yeah."
36:36 DM: "yeah."
36:37 Ember: "Okay. All right. Yes, I do."
36:41 DM: "Yeah, you have, I think Ember actually has a few tool proficiencies. Oh, wow."
36:46 Sildir: "Okay."
36:46 DM: "Yeah,"
36:47 Ember: "Okay."
36:47 DM: "you have Thieves tools, Smiths tools, Woodcarver's tools, and Tinkerer's tools. So I'll say either Smiths or Tinkerer's tools will work for this check."
36:57 Sildir: "Yeah,"
36:57 Irredel: "It looks like people are almost*..."
36:57 Sildir: "it looks like Erdo almost got it. Just need a final touches from you, Ember."
37:02 DM: "Yeah,"
37:01 Sildir: "Let's see what you got."
37:02 Ember: "Oh, yeah."
37:02 DM: "just give me a 10. Okay, cool. Cool."
37:08 Mercurio: "Amber is our resident expert on prosthetics."
37:11 DM: "Yeah, I'll go ahead and click. Actually, since this is specifically a prosthetic, and Ember is literally the expert on that, I'll say you can do this with advantage. Go ahead and click the button that you see in chat for Smith Tools. OK, 19."
37:34 Irredel: "Thank you."
37:35 DM: "OK,"
37:34 Ember: "Thank you."
37:35 Saturno: "For you."
37:36 DM: "so Ember got a 19 with her Smith Tools check."
37:40 Saturno: "Damn."
37:42 DM: "Yeah, so with that, you're able to secure it pretty well on there. So with that sealed there, you have the shield affixed. You can use it. Not quite as well as you would normally, as you were before. But the shield is affixed pretty securely, so you'll still have the same AC as before. The only difference is that now it is not stuck to you. You won't be able to remove it."
38:11 Sildir: "Yeah, fair enough."
38:15 Ember: "Okay."
38:13 Irredel: "and i also made sure to prepare field of faith so i can pass that on you anytime there's an issue it's it's not even the least i could do i've*..."
38:17 Ember: "So I didn't have a conversation with him. Didn't he? Yes. All the things that, um,"
38:23 DM: "I'll also say that this is probably going to be a temporary solution for Sildur. So for the moment,"
38:27 Ember: "Tom told me, um,"
38:31 DM: "this will need maintenance. Probably once for long rest,"
38:32 Ember: "Tom told me."
38:33 DM: "I'll say,"
38:34 Ember: "Okay."
38:34 DM: "to keep it fixed. I imagine you'll take it off anyway to sleep or something."
38:38 Ember: "I can take it off."
38:43 Sildir: "We'll see about that."
38:44 DM: "We'll see."
38:45 Irredel: "uh my god*..."
38:45 Sildir: "Sildur's been looking for an excuse to go to sleep with his shield."
38:49 DM: "I see. Well, yeah,"
38:51 Ember: "Thank you."
38:51 DM: "more power to you."
38:54 Sildir: "He's like,"
38:54 DM: "All right."
38:54 Sildir: "the polished bronze, it looks so good. Anyways, wow, this is not bad. All right, well, thanks, guys. I feel like I cling it a little bit against my gauntleted arm on the front of the shield. And I say, OK, this is not bad."
39:20 Ember: "It makes me happy."
39:27 DM: "Oh my gosh."
39:27 Sildir: "Yeah, thank you. And, you know,"
39:34 Irredel: "What?"
39:34 Sildir: "something bad was bound to happen to one of us here, guys."
39:35 Irredel: "I don't see."
39:36 Sildir: "I'd rather it be from one of you guys than from StinkyMonster. So, can't let them pull any fast ones on me. It's all good."
39:49 DM: "All right."
39:52 Sildir: "But Erwin's dad is waiting, and if he's even still alive, who knows what's happening at that winery. I think we ought to run."
40:05 Saturno: "Yeah."
40:05 Sildir: "By the way,"
40:05 Irredel: "How are you?"
40:06 Sildir: "Father Lucian and Bryce, would you be able to loan me that book of Lugdana's history before we go?"
40:16 DM: "Bryce will come up over to you, and yes, you can take this manuscript with you. And he's going to hand you a note. Let me see what I can give you for this."
40:34 Mercurio: "And maybe try to implement that Dewey Decimal System while we're gone. I mean, it took you guys a whole day and a half to find this."
40:48 Irredel: "They don't need to implement it actually."
40:50 Ember: "Thank you."
40:47 DM: "yeah so i'll say for this specific note that he'll give you um i don't have like a literal handout that i can give you but i will say it'll be all the same information that you could find on the lore notes on the on the website so you can refer to that for your look down on lore um*..."
41:13 Sildir: "Sounds good. What did you say? I didn't catch that part."
41:18 Ember: "I'll put you on."
41:17 Irredel: "I'm saying that they don't need to implement the Dewey Decimal System thing. It's done. What do you think I was up to last night?"
41:30 DM: "Is that why there were... Never mind."
41:26 Sildir: "you did that already wow it's they're all labeled*..."
41:39 Irredel: "Yeah,"
41:25 Mercurio: "Please try to maintain it."
41:39 Irredel: "everything's label and there's a book on the side table that explains the organization system and can serve as a reference to help you find anything you need."
41:48 DM: "You'll see Bryce... Yeah, Bryce will go over to the reference book and he'll kind of flip through this. How does... Never mind. Well, thank you for this, although I expect that Lucian will be the one to make use of this. I don't expect that I'll be in Vallaki for much longer."
42:13 Sildir: "Where are you headed?"
42:13 Irredel: "That is."
42:17 DM: "Well, I don't think I can tell you that would defeat the purpose of me leaving,"
42:23 Saturno: "But."
42:22 DM: "but I fear that... Once word of my activities reach the ears of the devil, then he may... Well, it might bring some unwanted attention to this little town."
42:44 Sildir: "That's why you're leaving, to not bring attention to the town. Or you're saying attention will be brought to the town either way."
42:51 Irredel: "Thank you."
42:51 DM: "I'm saying that while I was captured under the Court of Wolves, I'm sure... That whole business will be reported to Strahd himself by his bride, and, well, I don't want them to come looking for me here, so I'll be leaving elsewhere."
43:09 Sildir: "Oh yeah, he definitely already knows. He actually was impressed with us. Kind of triumphing over her. Said it's not every day."
43:20 DM: "I see, then I should be going quite soon then. Excuse me, and he'll go up the stairs to the office upstairs."
43:32 Mercurio: "Where will you go? Sorry if I missed that."
43:37 DM: "You don't need to wait. It's actually probably best that you don't know where I'm headed."
43:42 Mercurio: "You're originally from Kresnik, right? You're going back there?"
43:49 DM: "Again, it's better that you don't know."
43:50 Irredel: "Wait,"
43:50 Sildir: "wait so*..."
43:51 Irredel: "so the whole purpose of you leaving is so that Strahd doesn't come here,"
43:56 Ember: "Thank you."
43:55 Irredel: "but if you just disappear and don't tell anyone where you go, wouldn't that result in Strahd being lured here because that was your last known location?"
44:08 DM: "All right, I'll leave a note for Lucian."
44:14 Sildir: "maybe consider leaving out this little altar,"
44:14 Irredel: "Maybe consider leaving evidence of alternative places you're going."
44:16 Sildir: "so people have to turn."
44:18 Irredel: "Throw people off your trail."
44:21 DM: "I'll keep that in mind."
44:27 Sildir: "So I hope."
44:27 Irredel: "If you're leaving out,"
44:27 Sildir: "literally. All right."
44:27 Irredel: "the pens are also organized by color and by ink type."
44:33 DM: "You were quite thorough, weren't you?"
44:38 Irredel: "It's my calling. Literally."
44:41 Ember: "with*..."
44:44 DM: "That's so funny."
44:44 Mercurio: "Well, if you ever need help, you know, you can always call on Mercurio and the Mercs."
44:52 Irredel: "Pardon?"
44:52 Mercurio: "That's us."
44:54 DM: "Is that what you all are calling yourselves?"
44:59 Mercurio: "I think it's a pretty good name."
44:57 Sildir: "I guess I look more like a mercenary now, but I'd be pretty expensive. Are you paying?"
45:09 Mercurio: "Well, it's just like a funny name. It's like a band."
45:15 Sildir: "Like a band."
45:19 Mercurio: "Yeah, that's right."
45:21 Irredel: "okay,"
45:21 Sildir: "Okay, so..."
45:22 Ember: "So. Sorry. Guys."
45:21 Irredel: "so i feel like all of our contributions are fairly equal."
45:29 Mercurio: "We'll workshop it. We'll workshop."
45:30 DM: "Thank you."
45:32 Irredel: "i, i just think that we should make sure to recognize everyone. i, i, i, you know, think of how powerful to turn out with and fight. If anything, it should be Saturno and the Saturns. Saturno and the Saturns."
45:52 Saturno: "Ooh,"
45:52 Mercurio: "It doesn't have the same ring to it, but I get your meaning. We'll keep working on it. It's just the first suggestion."
45:58 Sildir: "so they're in the sillies,"
46:01 Saturno: "that one's..."
46:01 Sildir: "since you're all my silly companions and i'm the serious one, yeah,"
46:13 Irredel: "Considering the debt I owe you, I'll let you claim that title."
46:22 Sildir: "i, i think actually. yeah, i'm not this, i'm not the most serious. Maybe we should come up with a name that doesn't have one of our names in it,"
46:32 Irredel: "Thank you."
46:34 Sildir: "or all of them."
46:40 DM: "Well, in any case,"
46:40 Mercurio: "Barovia baddies*..."
46:44 DM: "I appreciate your offer, but I try not to work with other people. And this whole business with the court was a rare exception."
46:53 Mercurio: "yeah that went so well for you*..."
46:56 DM: "Yes, yes, well, it could have been quite a bit worse."
46:54 Irredel: "Thank you so much."
47:01 DM: "Anyway, and you'll see Bryce excuse himself and go on upstairs."
47:13 Mercurio: "what's that guys problem*..."
47:18 Saturno: "I don't know."
47:20 Sildir: "I think he has a lot of problems, actually. Probably stuff that he will never talk to us about. But he seems riddled with issues."
47:24 Irredel: "It really does seem like such a middle child. Middle child in a large family."
47:43 Mercurio: "Don't look forward to having to save him again."
47:46 Irredel: "Genuinely, him and my brother Gaston have a disturbing amount of similarities. Oh, I don't work alone thing."
47:56 Ember: "Okay."
47:56 DM: "you*..."
47:56 Irredel: "I don't accept help. It's health important."
48:02 Mercurio: "Aren't basically all of your siblings middle siblings?"
48:05 Irredel: "Well, yes,"
48:06 Sildir: "yes*..."
48:06 Irredel: "but Gaston is the one who's most in the middle."
48:09 Mercurio: "Hmm. Let's see. sandwiched in between five others."
48:15 Irredel: "Mm-hmm."
48:18 Mercurio: "Can't imagine."
48:20 Sildir: "let's see s, e, s, i, m."
48:29 Irredel: "S-E-S S-E-S S-E-S*..."
48:35 Mercurio: "What were the letters?"
48:29 Sildir: "can we spell anything with those letters S-E-S-I-M- The Messys, That could be our name."
48:39 DM: "messy no please don't do that please don't do that oh my god*..."
48:46 Sildir: "That's the first letter of each of our names. Does it spell anything good?"
48:50 Mercurio: "Something rubs me wrong about that. That name."
48:54 Sildir: "We're not messy. And it would drive Iridil crazy because she's literally called to order things. We can't be named messy."
48:59 Irredel: "It sure would be contrary to my purpose."
49:07 Sildir: "kind of stuff really bothers zero though like a bad name it's like a plague*..."
49:12 Mercurio: "But I do like the DMs at the start."
49:20 Saturno: "Well,"
49:20 Mercurio: "We'll work on it."
49:20 Saturno: "it's semi."
49:23 DM: "I mean,"
49:27 Saturno: "Or me say."
49:22 Sildir: "the semis Maybe we can do SEISM and then add an IC, seismic saviors of Barovia. No?"
49:46 Mercurio: "A little bit up on the high horse."
49:49 Sildir: "All right, we'll do the Silders."
49:49 Mercurio: "Calling yourself saviors."
49:50 Ember: "Really? What? Okay. No, I'm using the*..."
49:38 Irredel: "I believe we should go for a walk, get some fresh air, get better ideas flowing."
50:00 DM: "I think your mic is still picking things up. Yeah. Are you using your headphones? Not sure what's happening."
50:24 Mercurio: "well I guess we hit the road*..."
50:28 DM: "All right."
50:29 Sildir: "Let's do it."
50:32 DM: "All right, so as you're exiting the church, you do see Irina and Lucian outside, right in the grounds, right in front of the church, in the gardens. You see that Lucian is helping Irina plant some new flowers in the flower bed here. And as she's... engrossed in her work. you can see that she has a a look of determination on her face as she's planting these flowers and you're struck with an odd sense of-"
51:10 Irredel: "Thank you."
51:10 DM: "how do i say? hopefulness, almost. uh. you know that irina, especially, has been through a great ordeal, uh, particularly in the last week, um having left her her home from Barovia Village, being chased by Strahd himself and finally arriving here in Belaki, where she found her fellow Barovian villagers being treated as outsiders, And only recently have things started to look up for them, in no small part because of her own efforts. And she looks to you all. I hear you all are leaving soon."
51:52 Mercurio: "Ah, yeah. More people need more help in more places."
51:57 DM: "I see."
51:58 Sildir: "Yeah, what he said."
52:01 DM: "You all seem to be doing a lot of good in these lands for outsiders. I understand that you're not from around here and yet you've devoted so much of yourselves to helping Barovians across the valley."
52:18 Irredel: "What else is there possibly to do?"
52:18 Sildir: "What else is there possibly to do?"
52:21 Mercurio: "Yeah."
52:21 Irredel: "We're not from here. We have no home here. We have no family here. All there is is to travel and try and make things better. What's the alternative?"
52:33 DM: "Hmm."
52:32 Irredel: "Open up a roadside inn? Welcome other weary travelers like us? Watch things get worse and worse and worse?"
52:43 Mercurio: "And I guess..."
52:42 Sildir: "I think in addition to what Erdal said, we know better than most people here what could be. We come from a world where these living conditions are pretty much the worst you could come across and it should only be better. And we know that, and maybe some of you don't. So."
53:10 DM: "Well, it's just a rare thing to see. Most Barovians try to keep to themselves and stick to their own lives. It's very rare for someone to go out of their way to help others like you all have been."
53:23 Irredel: "I'm sure you can find the answer in yourself as well. Look at all you've done for the refugees as innately as it comes to you and appears to be required of us. you*..."
53:38 DM: "yes well my my father was burgomaster of barovia village and that responsibility now falls to my brother it would be i feel it is my duty to do the same to to follow their example and help the people here and i think i've decided i've been thinking a great deal about what has happened and i believe my my brother's concerns still hold i'm not certain that barovia village would be safe for me at this time, so I've decided to stay here and help where I can in Vallaki and hopefully reincorporate the Vistani from their camp into the village as well."
54:27 Sildir: "Well, it makes you say that. I mean, if it's Strahd you're scared of,"
54:34 Irredel: "This is..."
54:32 Sildir: "he gave us his word that he wouldn't bother you in the village of Barovia, which I feel like is just as good as whatever protection you have here."
54:44 DM: "Forgive me if I don't take his word at face value."
54:50 Sildir: "Hmm. Well..."
54:51 Mercurio: "Fair."
54:54 Sildir: "If you live life like that, you might have to stay at this church and go nowhere else, because I don't think the rest of Milwaukee is much safer. Just food for thought."
55:03 DM: "We shall see. We shall see, Sylvia."
55:10 Irredel: "Of course, what is the definition of bother?"
55:17 DM: "Yes, I suspect that you might have a very different idea of what that might mean. It's, well, I think it's admirable that you're able to secure passage for my people back to their homes, but I'm not so sure that it would extend to myself."
55:40 Sildir: "Well,"
55:40 Irredel: "Well,"
55:40 Sildir: "then I."
55:40 Irredel: "then I pray you do whatever you need to stay safe."
55:44 DM: "Thank you, Iridell."
55:40 Mercurio: "That also explains the great mystery of why Silulus has decided to stay in town."
55:52 DM: "I guess well,"
55:54 Ember: "Okay."
55:52 DM: "some of us have agreed to protect the villagers as they returned to Barovia village."
55:58 Mercurio: "Oh."
55:58 DM: "And he's been a great help, truly, and as have you all."
56:08 Irredel: "Again, we can't help it. What else is there to do? It's also easy to help someone as good natured as yourself."
56:16 DM: "That is very Thank you, Iridal. That's very noble of you."
56:29 Irredel: "Well,"
56:29 Ember: "Thank you."
56:29 Irredel: "if you're going to be staying in the church, just so you know, I did some organizing the last couple of days. If you have any questions about the system, I've left pretty detailed instructions. I didn't get to the gardening tools. So if you're looking to keep yourself busy, that could be a fair project to take on next."
56:46 DM: "I'll keep that in mind. Hmm, I'll have to see if I can learn more about this organization system. But knowing you, Erudel, I'm sure it is, well, very efficient."
57:01 Irredel: "it is most marvelous i hope to spread it to all the great houses libraries one day*..."
57:08 DM: "Yes, well, I'm not sure that Baron Vargas would be particularly keen on letting you reorganize his shelves, but perhaps anything could be possible, considering all that you've accomplished so far."
57:23 Irredel: "baron fargus wait did you not did you not hear the news*..."
57:28 DM: "Yes, I'm aware he's no longer Burgomaster, but I believe he still holds his title."
57:30 Ember: "Thank you."
57:34 DM: "As Baron, that is, not Burgomaster."
57:36 Irredel: "Mm-hmm."
57:42 Mercurio: "Hmm, so he still has a lot of money. Keep that in mind."
57:46 DM: "He is still a nobleman,"
57:46 Mercurio: "Thank you."
57:47 DM: "yes, that's true. I do wonder if the new burgomaster, Lady Fiona, will be doing anything about that, but I suppose we'll see."
58:05 Mercurio: "I seem to be on better terms now, but we'll see."
58:10 DM: "Yes, Lady Fiona has been..."
58:10 Sildir: "I think she's supposed to give us some money."
58:13 DM: "Lady Fiona has been quite agreeable with all the work that I've been doing in and around town."
58:20 Sildir: "Well."
58:19 DM: "So I do welcome the change in power, even though, well, even though she's openly pledged loyalty to the devil."
58:35 Irredel: "Well,"
58:36 Mercurio: "Well, you know, it's formalities."
58:41 DM: "So she says, but forgive me if I'm being cautious about it."
58:49 Mercurio: "I don't blame you. She's a very secretive woman."
58:57 DM: "Yes, she does seem to be, though. She also has been an ally when I needed one."
59:07 Mercurio: "We'll have to see how things pan out."
59:13 DM: "Will you be..."
59:13 Irredel: "And if we were wrong, we've already overthrown one ruler."
59:17 DM: "I suppose that's true. Does that mean you'll be returning to Vallaki?"
59:25 Mercurio: "Yeah, we'll have to see."
59:14 Sildir: "I guess we're going to see where this next journey takes us. We'll be sending word to somebody at least, because, like usual, we're helping someone out And he's going to want to know how it went. So talk to Erwin."
59:49 Irredel: "on the next*..."
59:49 Sildir: "He'll have the next update from us, probably."
59:56 DM: "Yes, I know that Erwin and Danica were quite helpful to us as well, so I expect I will be keeping in touch with them. Well, I don't want to hold you any longer."
01:00:23 Sildir: "Guess we better be going. Hang tight."
01:00:28 Mercurio: "We're burning daylight."
01:00:26 DM: "all right and as you leave uh you make your you guys are heading uh straight out of town at this point*..."
01:00:46 Saturno: "Thank you."
01:00:23 Irredel: "good to say that woman is either shockingly polite for not commenting on filter's current state or deeply unobservant*..."
01:00:51 DM: "oh my god i totally forgot about that actually that's so funny*..."
01:00:55 Sildir: "I think I saw her glance down at it, double take, and look away awkwardly. So I guess I just didn't want to say anything."
01:01:10 DM: "Yeah."
01:01:10 Irredel: "Well, for her sake, I hope it was that instead of unobservance. It seems dangerous in this land, and as for myself, it's really all I can look at right now. I'm so sorry, Sildur."
01:01:25 Sildir: "It's okay. Thank you, though. I mean,"
01:01:30 Irredel: "Thank you."
01:01:30 Sildir: "I guess it's not okay."
01:01:30 Irredel: "I guess it's off."
01:01:31 Sildir: "But I forgive you. It is what it is. My arm's lopped off."
01:01:36 Mercurio: "If you didn't do it, I would have done it sooner or later."
01:01:36 Sildir: "And exactly what I'm saying. Everyone's been coming for this arm. I don't know what it is."
01:01:44 Irredel: "Thank you."
01:01:53 DM: "And as you guys are walking through town, heading towards the gates, I guess you're going to be heading to the west, so this will be the western gates that you're heading towards. You two, sorry, you all are, you bump into a pair of young boys. They kind of like are running through the streets and bump right into you. The two of them are They look pretty young. One looks to be about 10 years old and the other is about eight. They're clearly brothers. And you get the sense that they bear some resemblance to Erwin and Danica. The older of the two boys looks to the younger and he says, which one did he say again? And the other pipes up. I think he said, give it to the pink one. And the older boy will go up to Mercurio and And he will kind of like shove at you what looks to be a pendant in the shape of a silver feather. And he says, Dad says to give you this."
01:03:03 Mercurio: "Dad? Do you mean Erwin?"
01:03:06 DM: "Yeah, you know him, right?"
01:03:09 Mercurio: "Huh, didn't know he had two kids."
01:03:12 DM: "Yeah, Dad said you're good friends."
01:03:15 Mercurio: "We are."
01:03:17 DM: "Well, he said that you would know what to do with this. He says you're going to go see Grandpa."
01:03:22 Mercurio: "Oh, uh, yeah, we're gonna go visit your grandpa. Check up on him. Get some,"
01:03:27 DM: "Hmm."
01:03:28 Mercurio: "uh, some delivery stuff from him. Bring back."
01:03:33 DM: "Hmm. Well, that's weird. Usually Grandpa's pretty good about that. Well,"
01:03:39 Irredel: "Thank you."
01:03:39 DM: "Dad said that he needed this, so we're giving it to you now."
01:03:44 Mercurio: "All right, I'll make sure Grandpa gets this. Don't worry about it."
01:03:47 Saturno: "What are your names?"
01:03:49 DM: "Oh, the older one will look too. I'm Brahm, and this is Bray."
01:03:57 Saturno: "Nice to meet you."
01:03:59 DM: "Nice to meet you. What's your name? Saturno?"
01:04:04 Saturno: "Yes."
01:04:04 DM: "That's a funny name."
01:04:07 Saturno: "What was your name again?"
01:04:09 DM: "Brahm, did you forget already?"
01:04:11 Saturno: "Yeah. What's my name?"
01:04:14 DM: "Saturno?"
01:04:17 Saturno: "What was your name again?"
01:04:20 DM: "My name's Braum."
01:04:22 Saturno: "Brom. And yours is?"
01:04:27 DM: "This is Bray."
01:04:28 Saturno: "Bray and Brom. Brom Bray. Nice to meet you."
01:04:37 DM: "He's going to look over to Mercurio. Your friend's kind of slow, isn't she?"
01:04:45 Mercurio: "Hey, it's not nice to say kids."
01:04:49 DM: "Well, she forgot our name like three times and I just told her."
01:04:55 Mercurio: "He's being funny. That's a way of playing."
01:04:58 DM: "Hmm. Okay, if you say so. And you'll see the two kids run along and go back in the direction of the Blue Water Inn."
01:05:12 Saturno: "Do you think they were real? I think that was a real interaction. I don't trust anything. We had that dream. And the whole ghost thing."
01:05:30 Mercurio: "Yeah."
01:05:27 Saturno: "And then just lost an arm. And I need sleep. And you know what? Maybe I'm not fast. But you know what? I have muscles and I'm doing my best."
01:05:47 DM: "Yeah."
01:05:47 Sildir: "Nah. Fake or real,"
01:05:49 Irredel: "I'm sorry."
01:05:49 Sildir: "we have some pendant now."
01:05:51 Irredel: "Isn't it my fault?"
01:05:52 Sildir: "They don't seem like the worst creatures we could encounter if they are some... I don't know what else they could be in disguise. Maybe the man version of the hags or something. I don't know. I'm sure it's fine. I think they're probably just Erwin's kids. This is in line with some of the stuff he said, right? Like some friends of the feather and... and his other Raven-theming stuff that he gets into."
01:06:21 Irredel: "And I will say there's countless places at an inn for children to hide. Not surprised we haven't seen them. All the time they're probably in the back trying to, uh, feel sugar to make cookies instead of bread. Or shoveling hay at the stables. Cleaning windows."
01:06:41 Saturno: "being turned into pastries."
01:06:43 Irredel: "Making bricks. Hmm?"
01:06:47 Saturno: "Oh, I said, or being made into pastries."
01:06:50 Irredel: "I certainly hope not with those two."
01:06:50 Sildir: "It'll certainly help us do. Sure."
01:06:52 Saturno: "No."
01:06:52 Sildir: "It's all there."
01:06:57 Mercurio: "So you said..."
01:07:01 Saturno: "Yeah, I don't blame you."
01:06:53 Irredel: "I don't know if I could ever eat a pastry again after we fall there. Oh, it's evil. Glad we removed it from this world."
01:07:12 Mercurio: "It's a silver medallion with a feather on it, right?"
01:07:16 DM: "yep,"
01:07:18 Mercurio: "If I inspect it, is there... Do I gleam anything else from it, or is it just plain as that?"
01:07:26 DM: "um, it looks to you to just be like ordinary silver and like in the independent. um, it's like molded into like the feather that you see on the front."
01:07:38 Sildir: "Yeah, I look at it and I say, yep, that's silver for sure."
01:07:40 Irredel: "Yes."
01:07:42 Saturno: "Is that what the item would say?"
01:07:38 DM: "you don't get Pretty much."
01:07:48 Ember: "Very shiny."
01:07:50 Sildir: "It's all with a lot of silver and eventually gold. But yeah, that's silver."
01:07:57 DM: "All right. Let's see what else I have for you."
01:08:02 Mercurio: "Can I do it on a checklist?"
01:08:04 DM: "Sure. You can do Arcana. Is that a nat 20?"
01:08:09 Mercurio: "It is."
01:08:10 DM: "That was an at 20 Arcana check. Yeah, very useless at 20, unfortunately. Yeah, you're sure with, like, beyond a shadow of a doubt, there's nothing magical about this pendant. It's just a pendant."
01:08:21 Sildir: "Told you it's silver."
01:08:23 Mercurio: "Magic. Magic."
01:08:26 DM: "But now you know."
01:08:27 Mercurio: "I'm sure of it."
01:08:29 DM: "So I suppose there's that. Yeah, you might have needed that 20 later, but, you know, whatever."
01:08:36 Mercurio: "I'll just get it again later."
01:08:38 DM: "True, true, true. Yeah. All right. I had a map somewhere. Let me try to find it. One sec. Not this one. This one probably. All right. So you guys are now at the gates of... The western gates of Vallaki. You head on out of the village and onto the Old Stralic Road. Let's see. You head on westwards for a bit. So maybe like 30 or so minutes. From what Erwin had told you previously,"
01:09:37 Sildir: "Thank you."
01:09:35 DM: "you know that the winery is about... three hours west following the Old Spallic Road. But you don't know what you might encounter along the way. It is a bit further west than you've been before. Let's see. Eventually, you make your way to the edge of a bridge crossing the Luna River. And as you're crossing, let me actually change the scene for you just to set the ambience. Let's see. I don't know if I have a map for this specifically. But let's see. There were roadmaps somewhere. Here we go. It's the road you've seen. Yeah, let's do this. So this is no longer with us, but the others, the rest of you are here. So as you're crossing the bridge going over the Luna River, you see the path here narrows, flanked by dense towering trees. Up ahead, you can see the old wooden bridge coming into view, its age-worn planks spanning the rushing river below. And as you approach, you can see the dark river tumbling over smooth stones of the riverbed, bordered on either side by gnarled bushes and trees. As you step onto the bridge, your boots echo against the old damp wood and to the north, you can see the river meander upstream around the tree line before vanishing around a curve. To the south, you see the river winds like a ribbon between its banks and then gradually vanishes into mist. Let's see, among you. Ember and Iridel, you notice one of the planks on the bridge seems to be a bit loose, as if it could be easily pried away."
01:11:58 Sildir: "Be careful,"
01:11:58 Irredel: "Be careful,"
01:11:58 Sildir: "everyone."
01:11:58 Irredel: "everyone. There's an issue with a plank on that bridge over there."
01:12:03 Ember: "Yeah, maybe I can fix it with one of my tools. Just to get..."
01:12:12 DM: "Are you going to go try to fix it?"
01:12:16 Ember: "Yeah, yeah."
01:12:18 DM: "Yeah."
01:12:18 Ember: "I'm just thinking about which one I can use. Smith's tools?"
01:12:23 Irredel: "Do you think it's structurally necessary or could we just step around it?"
01:12:29 Ember: "I think better safer than sorry. You know, so..."
01:12:35 Irredel: "You don't have to tell me twice."
01:12:36 Ember: "Can you use..."
01:12:35 Mercurio: "Maybe the next traveler will fall through."
01:12:40 Ember: "We don't need any more people to break their back, so..."
01:12:44 DM: "That's true."
01:12:45 Saturno: "That's true."
01:12:46 DM: "So as you go up to the plank to try to fix it,"
01:12:50 Ember: "Mm-hmm."
01:12:50 DM: "you shift it around a little bit. And you notice there's something glinting underneath the plank. And as you pry it away,"
01:12:59 Irredel: "Thank you."
01:12:58 DM: "you see tucked into a space here is what appears to be a medium-sized metal chest of sorts. and you pull out the chest, you can see on the front of it where you might expect to see the clasp that closes it. Instead, there is a smooth obsidian plate. And as you brush your fingers across it, some text appears. And I'm going to put that in chat for you, what this text is. This is going in the Discord chat."
01:13:47 Ember: "Can I read it out loud?"
01:13:47 DM: "If someone would like to read the... Yeah,"
01:13:49 Irredel: "Okay."
01:13:49 DM: "go for it."
01:13:50 Ember: "Okay. I track the shadows where others fear to tread. I carry silver to ensure the wicked stay dead. I study the lore of the beast and the blight, pushing back darkness to let in the light. What am I?"
01:14:11 DM: "Okay,"
01:14:19 Ember: "What do you guys think?"
01:14:21 Saturno: "Like, maybe someone that kills monsters? I don't know if they carry silver."
01:14:29 Sildir: "Monster Hunter."
01:14:30 Saturno: "I study the lure of the beast and the blight."
01:14:33 Irredel: "you you you*..."
01:14:32 Saturno: "So someone that has to..."
01:14:34 DM: "so Celia. As you say,"
01:14:38 Saturno: "Oh."
01:14:37 DM: "Monster Hunter, you hear a click. And a line appears in the center of the plate, like a seam."
01:14:49 Saturno: "Oh wait, what'd she put down?"
01:14:49 DM: "And the chest flips open. And inside, you find a couple of interesting items. I forgot to actually make the items for this. So I'm just going to drop it in chat as well, what you find. And you can figure out amongst yourselves who is carrying it. And I'll add it later. So you have 20 silver tipped crossbow bolts, two emergency rations, and two potions of healing."
01:15:30 Sildir: "Wow,"
01:15:32 Mercurio: "How does the ration work?"
01:15:30 Sildir: "these look like the granola bars my mom used to make."
01:15:36 DM: "Yeah, so these rations, when consumed, they give you the effects of a long rest. However, after eight hours, you experience a crash and gain one level of exhaustion."
01:15:58 Mercurio: "Yeah, I mean, those granola bars look tasty, but I don't know if they're going to sit right."
01:16:05 Saturno: "What if I take two?"
01:16:06 Mercurio: "Too much sugar."
01:16:08 Saturno: "How fast could we, how much can we push this?"
01:16:13 DM: "I don't know that I'd recommend that."
01:16:16 Saturno: "If I take two, I'm just out for a day. But,"
01:16:20 DM: "Maybe longer than a day."
01:16:21 Saturno: "I could go fast."
01:16:24 DM: "They don't make you fast."
01:16:27 Irredel: "I can hold on to the rations."
01:16:27 Sildir: "I can hold on to the Russians."
01:16:29 DM: "Okay."
01:16:30 Sildir: "I'm pretty good at ."
01:16:30 Ember: "yeah maybe that's a good idea*..."
01:16:30 Irredel: "I'm pretty good about reading all of your demeanors and if there's issues with you."
01:16:39 Sildir: "Do that magically."
01:16:38 Saturno: "I'm gonna feed the cats."
01:16:40 Sildir: "Press. Oh."
01:16:37 Irredel: "It probably makes sense for other people to hold the healing though since I can do that magically most of the time and if I'm down then it's good for someone else to have the ability."
01:16:49 Mercurio: "Yeah, probably Ember should take one and Saturno should take the other,"
01:16:54 Irredel: "Mm-hmm."
01:16:54 Mercurio: "I guess."
01:16:59 Irredel: "Can anyone here use a crossbow?"
01:16:58 Saturno: "I stepped away from my desk quickly."
01:17:05 Mercurio: "Ember, maybe?"
01:17:08 Irredel: "Here,"
01:17:09 Sildir: "Here,"
01:17:09 Irredel: "just take all the bolts."
01:17:04 Ember: "i'll take one i'll take one all right thank you ma'am*..."
01:17:16 Irredel: "Make use of them if needed."
01:17:16 Sildir: "take all the bolts. Yeah, there was a time that I did pass out for like a whole week, and I actually woke up to Iridil force-feeding me, keeping me alive. It was... Appreciate it, but yeah, she could definitely get those bars down if needed. She's got experience. So..."
01:17:36 Ember: "Okay."
01:17:38 Sildir: "She should hold on to those emergency rations. If I pass out,"
01:17:40 DM: "So Saturna is taking the other potion."
01:17:42 Sildir: "you can force feed me again."
01:17:41 Irredel: "You truly can dissolve almost anything in broth. This is good."
01:17:51 Sildir: "They tasted good. I was just confused. So yeah, whatever you're doing, it's working."
01:17:58 Irredel: "It tasted good because it was the only thing you had eaten in five days."
01:18:03 DM: "Oh my gosh."
01:18:03 Sildir: "Probably."
01:18:07 Irredel: "I don't even want to know what happened to you before I found you in that ditch. Nope. Yeah, correct. We do not want to know. our sins are numerous me*..."
01:18:09 Sildir: "oh yeah yeah that was yeah that was a tough one it was a uh a chain of restaurants i started up and it turns out uh god you don't even want to know what they were serving yeah correct we do not want to know persons are numerous yeah that's why everything we're starting up here i'm i'm directly overseeing we're managing it directly maybe that could be our group name like the the board of directors yeah the equity partners*..."
01:18:46 DM: "yeah like supported directors oh my gosh what does everyone think of that name*..."
01:19:14 Saturno: "partners."
01:19:14 Mercurio: "Equity Partners. Was that the name of the people that hired the slavers that captured us?"
01:19:22 Sildir: "Nope. They're just called dead now."
01:19:29 Saturno: "Nice."
01:19:30 Mercurio: "It sounds like a name that they would use. Maybe we'll keep workshopping."
01:19:41 DM: "All right. You continue along the road for about, I'd say, another 30 or so minutes. And eventually, you see a dirt path branches off from the old Spalding Road here, winding its way south of a craggy mountain spur. The earth of the path is hard packed, its color a pallid gray-brown, reminiscent of cold ashes. The trees on either side stand silent and stoic, their leaves a faded green, and as the path winds upwards, it's eventually replaced by the deep shadows of the mountain's forested incline, vanishing into the gloom of the woods beyond."
01:20:21 Sildir: "So it's like a secondary path?"
01:20:28 Ember: "Yeah."
01:20:23 DM: "yeah this one is like a like basically a looks like a dirt path that leads uh further south um and the dirt of the path itself looks like um old ashes but you also know that um your directions were to stick to the main road to head to the winery*..."
01:20:49 Sildir: "Yeah, Sildur did not even stop."
01:20:49 Irredel: "I'm also keeping going."
01:20:51 Sildir: "Like, Sildur's still walking. So if you guys stopped, you're going to need to call him back."
01:20:57 Saturno: "Yeah."
01:20:59 Sildir: "Yeah, I'm also keeping going. Sildur did notice it, but mentally he said, nope."
01:21:10 DM: "Nope. All right."
01:21:11 Ember: "Mm hmm."
01:21:13 Sildir: "We got business to attend to. Everyone's dad has been waiting."
01:21:20 DM: "Alright,"
01:21:21 Irredel: "you*..."
01:21:21 DM: "you continue walking further for about another 30 minutes or so. And this time you see. An old hunting trail cuts away from the old Swalik Road here, winding north between old gnarled trees before vanishing into the underrush. A hundred yards beyond it, an alpine path splits from the main road to travel south towards the mountains, rising in elevation until it disappears around a steep tree-covered escarpment. And as you pass... um,"
01:22:03 Ember: "Thank you."
01:22:02 DM: "let's see you hear this."
01:22:03 Sildir: "Is this a different path now? There's two paths?"
01:22:07 DM: "yeah, this is like, uh, further along the road, like 30 minutes later,"
01:22:10 Sildir: "Okay. But I don't get the feeling that I'm in a loop, right?"
01:22:11 Mercurio: "It's like a side path."
01:22:13 DM: "no, no, no, it's a different, it's. it's definitely a different path. yeah,"
01:22:17 Sildir: "Okay."
01:22:18 DM: "um, you hear the snap of a twig and the underbrush to the south*. That was a seven perception check from Sildur."
01:22:29 Sildir: "uh well let me see how i feel about that normal yeah i mean i was like is that really did i hear something yeah i'm just kind of like huh did i i wonder if i heard something but i'm keeping it to myself at this point i feel like i'm just like paranoid so i'm moving*..."
01:22:56 DM: "Anyone else?"
01:22:57 Irredel: "I'm going to instantly be on high alert and turn around and put my hands on my hips and look down the path."
01:23:05 DM: "All right, so that was a 24 perception from Ember. Ember, as you're looking around, let's see. You are able to discern a human-shaped silhouette amidst the treeline beyond."
01:23:23 Ember: "Guys, there's someone there. I see their silhouette. I have my bow drawn."
01:23:41 Saturno: "I have my weapon raised."
01:23:36 Mercurio: "hey who's there I'm thinking of an insult*..."
01:23:39 DM: "uh it's all right all right so as you guys uh call out and uh ready your arms um you see you look able to look a little bit closer and you see that you have startled a broad-shouldered woman clad in thick mud-caked furs and clutching a stone axe. You see obsidian ornaments hang from her ears and neck, and a thin layer of gray mud is smeared across her face so that she blends in with the dark trees around her. And upon seeing you guys raise arms, she immediately turns and flees into the woods beyond."
01:24:23 Saturno: "Oh fuck."
01:24:24 Irredel: "Thank you."
01:24:24 Ember: "You guys want to go after her?"
01:24:26 Mercurio: "Wait, lady."
01:24:24 Sildir: "I described her as a huge shaman looking woman."
01:24:29 DM: "Pretty much."
01:24:33 Sildir: "In my notes. That's weird."
01:24:38 Mercurio: "Are these the same... Do we travel through these woods before? I think we... Is this where the druids are from?"
01:24:45 Sildir: "We went east last time."
01:24:47 DM: "Yeah, last time when you went to the windmill, you went east and now you're heading west."
01:24:51 Mercurio: "Hmm."
01:24:52 Ember: "Okay."
01:24:52 Mercurio: "But that weird guy, like..."
01:24:52 Sildir: "And the other time when we went to..."
01:24:54 Mercurio: "He's from the West, right? The Druid that we met?"
01:24:59 DM: "Yeah,"
01:24:59 Mercurio: "Or am I mis..."
01:25:01 Irredel: "Okay."
01:24:59 DM: "Lady Vokter did say that those druids mostly were in the woods far west of Valafi. And it was strange that he would be camped out so far east. Also, notably, that figure that you saw with Lady Vokter looked pretty different from the figure you just saw now. You don't get the sense that they're part of the same group."
01:25:28 Saturno: "Maybe... I don't know. What if Mercurio plays a song?"
01:25:31 Sildir: "be the first folk or the mountain folk or crazy woman*..."
01:25:37 Saturno: "A friendly song. I don't know. I feel like if we go after her, we might scare her. We could try it, but..."
01:25:45 Mercurio: "Wait, lady, listen to my song."
01:25:48 DM: "You're going to play the flute?"
01:25:49 Mercurio: "I'm going to play the flute."
01:25:50 DM: "Okay. Let's see. That was a 20 performance check."
01:26:00 Saturno: "Wowzers."
01:26:01 DM: "Additionally, also give me a religion check."
01:26:07 Mercurio: "Ooh."
01:26:08 DM: "Okay, that was a 17 religion check."
01:26:11 Ember: "Thank you."
01:26:11 DM: "You play your tune."
01:26:15 Sildir: "Bye."
01:26:15 DM: "Go ahead. Give me a really quick description what this tune sounds like, Mikuru. What are you trying to elicit, basically, with this song? Mm-hmm."
01:26:33 Mercurio: "I play just something very attuned with the forest around us, seeing as they're a shaman."
01:26:42 Ember: "Okay."
01:26:41 Mercurio: "Just like a very calming and somber tune."
01:26:48 Sildir: "Thank you."
01:26:50 DM: "Okay. So you play your tune, attempting to settle this person, whoever they are. You see them as they're fleeing into the woods. Stop for just a moment, turn back, and make eye contact with you. And as they do, Mercurio, just for a moment, you feel as though you're transported. You see the environment around you shift until... you are standing in the middle of the mountains. These are snow covered peaks. And looking about, you see a handful of other figures looking very similar to the woman that you just saw. And then just as quickly as this vision started here back in the present, and you can see that the woman has continued to flee and is no longer in sight."
01:27:43 Mercurio: "That was weird."
01:27:47 Ember: "What happened?"
01:27:51 DM: "Yeah."
01:27:48 Mercurio: "Mercurial probably misses a few notes in the song. Clearly wrong notes. Goes out of tune. Like,"
01:27:57 Sildir: "That was a little jazzy."
01:27:56 Mercurio: "just kind of like stumbles back a little bit. What's jazz?"
01:28:04 Saturno: "What's that? What's that?"
01:28:08 Sildir: "Yeah, I guess you were away for a few years, weren't you? You knew his hottest music in Thundertree. Don't worry about it. I'll show you when we get back."
01:28:22 Mercurio: "I, for a second there, I could have sworn I was just transported to some snowy peaks. Do I see any snowy peaks around me? Or, like, maybe have we seen one when we passed, like, through a clearing?"
01:28:38 DM: "So you know that the whole of Barovia is in a mountain valley."
01:28:43 Irredel: "Okay."
01:28:43 DM: "So there are snowy peaks to the far north and the far south."
01:28:52 Mercurio: "I think that shamanist from one of those mountains changed that they would be here. Also, what's up with this flute? Why did I... Why did I..."
01:28:52 Sildir: "well yeah maybe she's a mountain folk is that like the mystery flute that we found*..."
01:29:12 Mercurio: "Yeah, the amber flute."
01:29:15 DM: "I'll also say to you that the path, like, the other path that, like, forks off from the road that you just came across, the one that cuts down south through, like, up through, like,"
01:29:29 Sildir: "Okay."
01:29:27 DM: "some alpine area,"
01:29:30 Sildir: "Okay."
01:29:30 DM: "and not the ashy road. I mean, that also kind of goes... a similar kind of thing. but this second path that you come across, um,"
01:29:43 Sildir: "Okay."
01:29:40 DM: "it does appear to be leading to the mountains in the far south. uh, let me double check if that's correct. yes, so that does appear to be leading down to the far south. um, where there are is, like, a lot of mountains and such*."
01:29:57 Mercurio: "There's some shamans in the Southern Mountain."
01:30:00 Sildir: "We probably should come back. They probably know about the Old Gods."
01:30:02 Irredel: "I'm helping you."
01:30:03 Sildir: "Wasn't someone saying something to us about that? Wachter, maybe?"
01:30:10 Mercurio: "Wachter and some others, I think we brought it up to Erwin. He had stuff to say about it. Maybe Danica, too. Hmm."
01:30:25 Sildir: "But for now... They haven't helped anything so far. I say we just keep going and get everyone's dad out of trouble."
01:30:34 DM: "Okay."
01:30:36 Sildir: "What do you guys think? Culprits."
01:30:44 Mercurio: "culprits,"
01:30:44 Sildir: "Culprits for what, you think?"
01:30:38 Irredel: "i remember the mass potential culprits whatever happened to erwin's dad*..."
01:30:49 Sildir: "Yeah."
01:30:44 Mercurio: "I mean."
01:30:50 Sildir: "They could be doing some weird rituals. You never know. We don't know what these..."
01:30:53 Mercurio: "we are still a ways off from that, though, but it's worth remembering*."
01:30:59 Sildir: "Yeah, they're close enough. But who knows what kind of weird things they get up to."
01:31:19 Mercurio: "Yeah."
01:31:20 Irredel: "Thank you."
01:31:08 Sildir: "People who wear obsidian and have all the weirdly constructed clothes and whatnot to get into the attunement with nature and next thing you know they're doing all sorts of crazy sacrifices and this and that. Bunch of hippies, I tell you."
01:31:31 Mercurio: "Hippies?"
01:31:34 Saturno: "of new words I'm learning today."
01:31:38 Sildir: "Hippies. You guys really were put away for too long."
01:31:43 Mercurio: "I think maybe Sildir has had a lot of blood loss the other night. Anyways,"
01:31:52 Irredel: "Thank you."
01:31:53 Mercurio: "let's keep going down the road."
01:31:56 DM: "All right."
01:31:56 Mercurio: "Also, DM,"
01:31:59 DM: "Sure."
01:31:57 Mercurio: "while we're walking, I would like to ritual cast Identify on the old flute. I don't think I had this spell when I got the flute before."
01:32:10 DM: "Okay, yeah. Let's see. You are able to identify this flute as the flute of silence. So it doesn't have any additional property from the one that you're already aware of."
01:32:29 Mercurio: "what does that what properties does it have okay*..."
01:32:41 DM: "That is that it gives you a plus one to your DC on Vicious Mercury. However, you get the sense that there is a lot of magic to be uncovered yet within this flute. And you get the sense that you've only just scratched the surface of what you're capable of doing with it. Additionally, I'll also say that you get the sense that the other kind of similar strange magical effects that you've experienced, hearing the melodies and such by the megaliths, by the windmill,"
01:33:20 Irredel: "you*..."
01:33:19 DM: "you feel as though that's related somehow to this flute."
01:33:24 Mercurio: "Yeah. Maybe next time I'll try playing the Megalith song for those shamans."
01:33:34 DM: "Okay."
01:33:36 Mercurio: "They might know something about it. There seems to be some weird connection with this flute and that shaman. Megaliths and... Yeah. Well, let's get some wine first."
01:33:54 DM: "All right."
01:33:56 Irredel: "Okay."
01:33:56 DM: "You continue trudging along the old Svalik road for another 30 minutes or so. At this point, you've been traveling for about two hours. So by the time you left Vallaki, I'll say it was around 9 in the morning, and now it would be around 11. So let's see. I'm going to switch the scene for y'all. All right. As you come across,"
01:34:28 Sildir: "it up."
01:34:28 DM: "you find yourself standing in front of a crossroads and another bridge that crosses a river. You see here a weathered signpost next to the road."
01:34:41 Irredel: "Thank you."
01:34:39 DM: "The three arms of the sign point along the three branches of the road here. The arm pointing north that points across the bridge reads Krezik. And through the woods, you can see the arching stone bridge spanning the river. The arm pointing east reads Vallaki. and the road slopes gradually up in that direction, and the arm pointing southwest reads the wizard of wines."
01:35:07 Sildir: "you*..."
01:35:08 DM: "the road here slopes gently downward in that direction. additionally, you see, standing alone on the bridge is a figure clad in rusty armor, clutching a gleaming long sword in its pale hands. This figure here looks very similar to the knight that you saw at the Seraph Hall when you were crossing the bridge there."
01:35:35 Sildir: "What was the order that they were from?"
01:35:38 DM: "The Order of the Silver Dragon."
01:35:44 Irredel: "Oh,"
01:35:37 Sildir: "How do we know it would lead us to Kruzik?"
01:35:45 Irredel: "that must be another one of the Silver Dragon fellows. I wonder if he has any separate information or if they all just say the same thing. Okay."
01:36:01 DM: "There's a signpost here that points that way."
01:36:05 Sildir: "okay uh well hello there your uh order of the silver dragon yeah*..."
01:36:18 DM: "Yes, I see you are carrying arms. Do you mean to oppose the dread Lord of these lands?"
01:36:29 Sildir: "to oppose the dreadlord you said*..."
01:36:32 DM: "Yes."
01:36:35 Mercurio: "Maybe."
01:36:39 DM: "Maybe. This was yes or no."
01:36:43 Mercurio: "Are you Tommy's friend?"
01:36:44 Irredel: "Okay."
01:36:47 DM: "I do not know this thought me."
01:36:52 Saturno: "Maybe his full name, Tomather?"
01:36:58 DM: "I do not understand what you are saying."
01:37:05 Sildir: "Hmm."
01:37:04 Mercurio: "Are you a member of the Order of the Silver Dragon?"
01:37:11 DM: "Yes, you know of us."
01:37:16 Mercurio: "Yeah, yeah. We met one of your members, Tommy."
01:37:21 DM: "Then I ask you once more, do you serve or oppose Strahd von Zarovich?"
01:37:31 Mercurio: "We oppose them, but we don't like to say it with our chest because it gets you in a lot of trouble around here."
01:37:39 DM: "Hmm. If you mean to take up arms against the devil of Spirovia, then you should seek out Sir Godfrey Gwilym,"
01:37:43 Irredel: "Thank you."
01:37:50 DM: "who awaits those who would raise their swords against the darkness."
01:37:56 Ember: "you*..."
01:37:57 Sildir: "at Argenvossholt, right?"
01:38:00 DM: "Yes, the manner of our order."
01:38:04 Sildir: "Yeah,"
01:38:04 DM: "You can fu-"
01:38:05 Sildir: "whereabouts is Argenvossholt?"
01:38:08 DM: "to find Argonvostolt, head east, then south upon the ash-grey path."
01:38:17 Sildir: "Hmm."
01:38:18 Mercurio: "Is it near those mountains to the south?"
01:38:23 DM: "Yes."
01:38:30 Irredel: "Well,"
01:38:30 Sildir: "Well, now I know that happens."
01:38:30 Irredel: "now we know what that path was."
01:38:32 Sildir: "Great."
01:38:34 Mercurio: "Say, are there some shamans around your place?"
01:38:27 Ember: "you you*..."
01:38:44 DM: "There are remnants of the first people hidden in the woods and the mountains of the valley."
01:38:53 Mercurio: "first people."
01:38:58 Irredel: "Great. That's two mysteries solved."
01:38:59 Sildir: "Two mysteries solved."
01:39:03 Mercurio: "Yeah, thanks, Timmy."
01:39:04 Sildir: "I knew it."
01:39:04 Mercurio: "You've been real helpful."
01:39:05 Irredel: "We know the person we saw and now we know what's down that path so we can keep on moving forward."
01:39:10 DM: "Hmm."
01:39:13 Sildir: "Did you see an old priest cross through here?"
01:39:19 DM: "There are seldom few travelers who walk this path, though I will warn you, as of late, there have been creatures of the woods overrun in and around the roads. Trees and vines and twigs come alive. They consume travelers who are caught unaware."
01:39:45 Sildir: "Well,"
01:39:45 Irredel: "Thank you."
01:39:45 Sildir: "thank you for that, but I am going to take one out of your book and say that was a yes or a no question."
01:39:53 DM: "I do not remember all those who have crossed here."
01:39:59 Mercurio: "Mm*..."
01:39:59 Sildir: "It would have been today."
01:40:04 DM: "You are the first whom I've seen come this way."
01:40:09 Sildir: "Got it. I don't think Lucian had this way, guys. Or Bryce, sorry."
01:40:14 Mercurio: "hmm."
01:40:17 Sildir: "And that way is Krezik,"
01:40:17 Irredel: "And that way is credit,"
01:40:18 Sildir: "right?"
01:40:18 Irredel: "right?"
01:40:20 DM: "Yes."
01:40:20 Sildir: "How far off is Krezik from here, do you know?"
01:40:23 DM: "If you continue along this road, you shall reach it before long."
01:40:30 Sildir: "Is that the way to Erwin's dad's place? Is that where we're going?"
01:40:33 DM: "Krezik is in the opposite direction."
01:40:36 Mercurio: "Yeah."
01:40:35 DM: "So Krezik is the northern path,"
01:40:38 Mercurio: "Wizard of Wines."
01:40:37 DM: "and the Wizard of Wines is to the southwest."
01:40:41 Sildir: "Okay. so, uh, what if we wanted to cross this bridge, would you let us?"
01:40:51 DM: "I will not stop you."
01:40:55 Sildir: "okay, it's just uh, the way you're standing there,"
01:40:57 Irredel: "Have a good day."
01:40:58 Sildir: "it is a little imposing, but we're not going that way anyway. um well, anything else for this guy*."
01:41:13 Mercurio: "Yeah, thanks for the information. I pat him on the back. Tell Tommy we said hi."
01:41:27 DM: "I do not know this Tommy."
01:41:32 Sildir: "Do you have a name?"
01:41:28 Irredel: "Do you have any?"
01:41:34 Saturno: "That was Timmy."
01:41:35 DM: "In life I had a name, but in death I have forgotten."
01:41:41 Mercurio: "Yeah, that's what happened to Tommy. That's why we gave him a new name."
01:41:45 Sildir: "You know your friend who is serving on the river Iblis?"
01:41:52 DM: "There are many of my orders scattered about the valley. watching our posts, awaiting an order that will never come."
01:42:02 Irredel: "Let's look."
01:42:02 Sildir: "What is the order?"
01:42:03 Irredel: "Thank you."
01:42:06 DM: "I will not reveal the secrets of my order. If you wish to learn more, then seek out Sir Godfrey Quillam at Argenfostholt."
01:42:19 Sildir: "Hmm, okay. I've heard that Godfrey is also dead."
01:42:29 DM: "Yes."
01:42:35 Sildir: "Well,"
01:42:36 Irredel: "Thank you."
01:42:36 Sildir: "you can be Timmy now. Your friend on Iblis Falls is Tommy. And if we see Tommy again, we'll let him know that you are Timmy. And with that,"
01:42:45 DM: "By the way, it was the Seraph also where you saw him. The River of Leaves is a different. Yeah,"
01:42:45 Sildir: "you can be Iblis River that feeds the circles."
01:42:50 DM: "that's a yes. Yep."
01:42:53 Sildir: "Yeah, my bad."
01:42:55 DM: "Good. You got anything else?"
01:43:05 Sildir: "I'm done. I'm good."
01:43:07 DM: "Okay."
01:43:08 Sildir: "I wish you well, sir."
01:43:09 Irredel: "As we walk away, I'm going to, and we're sufficiently out of your shot, I'm going to wonder out loud, if we went back, do you think he'd recognize us? Or he'd give us the whole speech all over again?"
01:43:27 Saturno: "Or maybe it resets."
01:43:29 Irredel: "That's what I'm asking."
01:43:30 Sildir: "Yeah, I don't think he would remember us, honestly. And it was weird. He was very much like Tommy. He said all the exact same things. And if you ask him a question that's too close to another question, he gives you the exact same answer without considering the slight changes. I think they're... You're wondering what?"
01:43:52 Irredel: "I'm wondering if you were to go back."
01:43:58 Sildir: "You want to go back? Oh yeah, they would not. There's no way."
01:44:04 Saturno: "No way."
01:44:10 Sildir: "He would probably ask us again, are you going to serve Strahd or not? I guess."
01:44:16 Irredel: "I wonder what he does to people who say yes. I mean,"
01:44:19 Sildir: "Most people must work with Strahd."
01:44:19 Irredel: "most people in this world probably consider themselves as doing so."
01:44:26 Sildir: "We could find out."
01:44:27 Irredel: "There's no alternative."
01:44:29 Sildir: "Definitely wouldn't remember us."
01:44:30 Mercurio: "They probably already forgot who we are."
01:44:32 DM: "Ha ha."
01:44:33 Sildir: "Go back and just say, yes, we do serve Strahd."
01:44:35 Saturno: "You wanna?"
01:44:36 Sildir: "See what he would do. Oh, you did bring up a good point. It's not like anyone really has much of a choice. Maybe he just scolds them. Or tells them to go see Godfrey Golem at Argamus Holt. The team's there."
01:44:57 Irredel: "To change their minds? I have to say, this whole thing seems somewhat like a trap. The more you think about it. It's not like they're particularly vetting any people."
01:44:58 Sildir: "yeah exactly that's the same this whole thing seems somewhat like a trap the more you think about it it's not like they're particularly people who's there sympathetic*..."
01:45:12 Irredel: "Just say your answer, and if there's anyone who is sympathetic towards a cause against Strahd,"
01:45:20 DM: "you you*..."
01:45:20 Irredel: "they suggest going to this tower. I mean, if I were Strahd, I would Stop something like this up and just have all the people who oppose me go to the same tower."
01:45:36 Sildir: "Yeah, you do bring up a good point. Kind of does feel like a trap. You wanted to make friends?"
01:45:49 Irredel: "Wouldn't it make sense? Anyone who self-identifies as opposing him? Go to this tower."
01:45:57 Sildir: "Yeah,"
01:46:00 DM: "you*..."
01:45:58 Sildir: "throw in a couple all be wells and I'd be sold."
01:46:03 Irredel: "it's almost certainly a death tower*..."
01:46:13 Sildir: "That road did look very suspicious, too."
01:46:17 Irredel: "see it's bringing you towards an ashy path down the wood no civilization around like a classic trap*..."
01:46:30 DM: "Oh my gosh. Also, just for my reference, can you all describe to me the formation that you guys are all traveling in?"
01:46:42 Irredel: "Ultimately. Always."
01:46:44 DM: "Okay."
01:46:44 Irredel: "Great."
01:46:47 DM: "Okay. Okay. yeah,"
01:46:42 Sildir: "ultimate battle formation ready to go constantly 24 7 always watching always looking shield sword drawn attack ready uh mercurio has rolled a crit in advance and that's our formation i'm just kidding we can we cannot do a real one though i'm sorry*..."
01:47:00 DM: "you're good, i'm gonna go ahead and switch the scene, since you guys are all keeping along that road, okay,"
01:47:09 Saturno: "I'd like to say one of the tanks is leading, the other one's in the back."
01:47:13 Irredel: "Yes."
01:47:17 DM: "um, yeah,"
01:47:17 Saturno: "Everyone else in how they're positioned, I don't know. Don't know."
01:47:23 Mercurio: "I think kind of how we are is good."
01:47:26 DM: "yeah,"
01:47:26 Sildir: "Yeah, this is good."
01:47:28 DM: "Alright, so you wander along for about another 30 minutes or so. At this point you see. the dirt road here winds through the woods and the path narrows framed by ancient and twisted trees whose gnarled branches form a thick canopy overhead. dappled gray light struggles to pierce through casting an ear, casting eerie shadows that flicker and dance with the slightest breeze. a musky earthy aroma fills the air: the scent of rotting leaves, damp soil and the faint tang of decay. the vegetation here is noticeably quite denser than the main road and uh, or like, i guess, uh before."
01:48:13 Irredel: "Yeah, I will."
01:48:08 DM: "when you're like on the main road and several low hanging branches here are draped with clumps of vines that weave a tangled tapestry across the undergrowth, a thick blanket of twigs and pine needles crunches beneath your boots. their low sounds, the only noise amidst the silent path. You want to dictate that."
01:48:35 Sildir: "Yeah, I rolled a perception and an insight, and the purpose was to see if I would bring this up, and I think 10 is kind of the halfway point, so I will."
01:48:47 DM: "Yeah, C rule 10, both of those."
01:48:49 Sildir: "Yeah, I feel like that's good enough to put two and two together."
01:48:53 DM: "Mm-hmm."
01:48:55 Sildir: "Wasn't Timmy telling us something about dangerous plant life, or am I mistaken?"
01:49:03 Saturno: "Yeah, that's right. Something about them coming to life."
01:49:03 Mercurio: "He was surprising people."
01:49:08 Sildir: "I really wasn't quite buying it, but if it ever were to be true, this looks like the place."
01:49:18 Mercurio: "Yeah."
01:49:21 Sildir: "Smells like the place, too. It's like petrichor and rotting bushes and fruit or whatever all at the same time. It's really weird."
01:49:41 DM: "Are those the only checks?"
01:49:45 Sildir: "I mean, yeah, from me at least."
01:49:52 Mercurio: "Um..."
01:49:59 Sildir: "Hey, Mercurio or Iridel,"
01:50:06 Irredel: "Yeah, gladly. This."
01:50:01 Sildir: "maybe you guys could see if you feel any nasty spirits or bad magic around here. like plants attacking us again not that i really believe it but it would have to be something magical or sinister*..."
01:50:22 Mercurio: "Can I do a ritual cast of detect magic here?"
01:50:30 DM: "Sure."
01:50:31 Ember: "And I use detect thoughts to see if anyone's around."
01:50:36 DM: "Yes, you can."
01:50:36 Sildir: "maybe*..."
01:50:37 Irredel: "Survival check, maybe? I got an 18."
01:50:45 DM: "Let's see. Let's see."
01:50:47 Sildir: "Pretty good roll."
01:50:58 DM: "Let's see. So these rolls are, yeah, they've all got an 18 survival check. Mercurio's casting detect magic. Ember's casting detect thoughts. So Ember, you cast detect thoughts. You reach out with your mind. You don't detect any other thoughts coming from a living creature or otherwise apart from yourself and your party. Mercurio, with your detect magic... Let's see..."
01:51:27 Ember: "Thank you."
01:51:30 Irredel: "you you*..."
01:51:29 DM: "You don't necessarily detect any magic around here, though you do get a sense of unease coming from around you. And Iredel, with your 18 survival check, you spot in front of you, about like 5 feet from where... Saturno is there is a patch of ground there that appears to not be quite solid as if there's some kind of tarp made of vines and brush covering something."
01:51:59 Irredel: "Oh, so Trino, don't step on that."
01:52:02 Saturno: "Thank you."
01:52:01 Irredel: "I don't need you falling into any more pits."
01:52:04 Saturno: "No more Swiss cheese."
01:51:59 Sildir: "so don't don't skip on that you don't need to fall down my god women twice*..."
01:52:06 Irredel: "And I'm going to grab a rock from close to me,"
01:52:13 DM: "Yeah."
01:52:10 Irredel: "like whatever the biggest rock nearby is that still fits in my hand,"
01:52:15 DM: "Okay."
01:52:15 Irredel: "and I'm going to try and lob it onto the tarp. Okay."
01:52:19 DM: "You do so, and it immediately falls through, revealing a pit directly in front of Setona. I'm going to mark it on the map for you as well."
01:52:32 Irredel: "Thank you."
01:52:31 Sildir: "and Eterna's biggest op pits."
01:52:34 Saturno: "Yeah."
01:52:35 Sildir: "oh my gosh, were we really one step away?"
01:52:38 DM: "Yeah, pretty much."
01:52:40 Sildir: "so funny*."
01:52:42 DM: "I was really wondering, like, are we going to run it back? But no, your friends were looking out for you this time."
01:52:50 Saturno: "Night wind."
01:52:53 DM: "All right. And also with that, you see and hear some rustling coming from the brush around you. And you see five vine-like creatures spring out from about you."
01:53:08 Sildir: "Of course."
01:53:11 DM: "and we're gonna do some initiatives here*..."
01:53:16 Sildir: "Why should I be surprised? The plants are alive."
01:53:23 Mercurio: "Oh no, it's an arrhythmia."
01:53:29 Irredel: "Thank you."
01:53:41 Sildir: "Getting all my low rolls out of the way, hopefully."
01:53:45 DM: "Yeah. All right. We just need Ember to roll initiative."
01:54:01 Ember: "Give me one second."
01:54:07 DM: "Yeah, let me get some battle music. What do we got?"
01:54:12 Sildir: "The pit."
01:54:12 Irredel: "The Pit by Mouserat."
01:54:14 Sildir: "My mouth's red."
01:54:16 DM: "Oh, man. If only I could just drop that in here."
01:54:20 Sildir: "The pit."
01:54:22 Irredel: "I fell into the pit."
01:54:33 DM: "What about how it's... It's still classic. Or battle music, rather."
01:54:41 Ember: "Do you know where I can click initiative?"
01:54:45 DM: "If you go to the combat tab on the right side, you should see..."
01:54:50 Ember: "Oh,"
01:54:50 DM: "There you go."
01:54:50 Ember: "there it is. Never mind. Got it, got it, got it."
01:54:53 DM: "Cool."
01:54:53 Ember: "Okay."
01:54:54 DM: "Alright, and we'll begin the encounter. Alright, so we're starting with Ember first."
01:55:04 Irredel: "Bye."
01:55:05 Ember: "Okay. Okay, I'm going to go for the one that's farthest from me."
01:55:15 DM: "Okay,"
01:55:16 Ember: "And I'm going to use my my light crossbow."
01:55:31 DM: "17. I'll also say if you stay still, you can use your steady aim and then you can roll this with advantage."
01:55:40 Ember: "Okay, I'll do that."
01:55:41 DM: "Okay. Just roll the attack a second time. Okay, so that was an 18. That hits. Go ahead and roll your damage and also do sneak attack."
01:55:53 Ember: "All right."
01:55:57 DM: "That's 11 damage. Let's see."
01:56:01 Ember: "And*..."
01:56:01 DM: "11 piercing damage from your crossbow and then your sneak attack will be..."
01:56:13 Ember: "trying to find it. Oh, there you go. Okay. and*... let's go*..."
01:56:27 DM: "10 uh 10 additional piercing damage from your sneak attack um nice um yeah so this did a really big chunk of damage to the vine blight um it is blooded um air doll you're up you're muted*..."
01:56:33 Sildir: "okay i'm going to go ahead and start with*..."
01:56:49 Irredel: "I'm going to go ahead and start by casting Shield of Faith on a still deer."
01:57:01 Sildir: "And then I will follow up if possible."
01:57:01 Irredel: "And then I will follow that up by casting Sacred Flame. And I will attack the vine creature that is to the northeast. Thank you."
01:57:16 DM: "okay um so like this one over here okay so they're gonna make a dexterity saving throw they got a two which fails so let me turn it back to public yeah so that was two they failed and uh go ahead and roll your damage that is was that maxwell no no it wasn't okay oh you're level five okay i see so that was eight radiant damage coming from erido uh let's see what are they cool um you got anything else cool mercurio*..."
01:58:07 Mercurio: "So,"
01:57:59 Irredel: "nope that's it you*..."
01:58:09 Mercurio: "the top right one's been hit, and then the... What was the other one that was hit? The farthest?"
01:58:13 DM: "The far left one."
01:58:15 Mercurio: "Okay. Alright, Mercurio is going to... pull out his flute and play a very slow, menacing tune and cast Bane."
01:58:22 DM: "All right."
01:58:43 Irredel: "me."
01:58:39 Mercurio: "I'm going to cast Bane on this back one. I think it's letting me select. That's kind of awkward, but I think I got it."
01:58:56 DM: "Okay,"
01:58:58 Mercurio: "So they have to roll a charisma save."
01:59:00 DM: "so it's this one, this one."
01:59:04 Mercurio: "And this one."
01:59:05 DM: "Okay, yeah, I see the points. I wonder if that's a new feature. I don't remember seeing that before. Okay, so they all have to make charisma saving throws, it looks like."
01:59:13 Mercurio: "Yep."
01:59:14 DM: "Okay,"
01:59:14 Irredel: "You."
01:59:14 DM: "so we'll do those in order. Okay, this one got a seven and fails. This one over here got a five and fails. And this one will do... a four so they all three failed so now whenever they make a attack or saving throw they subtract 1d4 cool nice what else you got okay*... Okay,"
01:59:47 Mercurio: "fuck it and then I just did an enchantment spell so then I'll also use my beguiling magic I think always understand how to even Yeah,"
02:00:19 Irredel: "Absolutely."
02:00:19 Mercurio: "so I'm going to use that, and I'm going to try to frighten this one here. Or I guess I'll try to frighten this one over here, actually, the bottom right."
02:00:32 DM: "so that's going to be. What's the save it has to do? I don't see. Wisdom save, okay."
02:00:41 Mercurio: "Wisdom save. So DC 15 wisdom."
02:00:41 DM: "Let's see what it gets. It's a 14. So it just barely fails. So now it is, what, charmed or frightened?"
02:00:53 Mercurio: "Yeah,"
02:00:54 DM: "Frightened, cool. So that means, frightened means it can't come closer to you, right? Okay, cool."
02:01:01 Mercurio: "and it has disadvantage if I'm in its line of sight with attacks."
02:01:06 DM: "Nice."
02:01:12 Irredel: "Yeah."
02:01:08 Mercurio: "And then I will use my familiar to give Sildir advantage."
02:01:15 DM: "Cool. Alright, so this vine blight is going to shimmy around this little pit that's right there, and it's going to go for a constrict attack on Saturno. 19. That hits, right?"
02:01:41 Mercurio: "Minus 1d4. Oh,"
02:01:44 DM: "Was this one of the ones?"
02:01:44 Mercurio: "wait. No, that's the one that's not. Oh,"
02:01:46 DM: "Yeah."
02:01:46 Mercurio: "fuck. Okay."
02:01:49 Saturno: "Then, yeah, 19 hits."
02:01:45 Irredel: "thank you*..."
02:01:52 DM: "So this is going to be some damage for you. That's 10 damage to Saturno."
02:01:58 Mercurio: "Damn, that's big damage."
02:01:59 DM: "That was 10 bludgeoning damage. Okay. Next up, this one. This one's also going to come up to Sartorno. I'm going to go for Constrict as well. This one has Bane, so it has minus 1d4. 15 that doesn't hit. uh ends its turn. this one in the corner back here is frightened,"
02:02:28 Irredel: "Thank you."
02:02:27 DM: "so it's just gonna kind of like do a little dance, um, and so no, it's your turn."
02:02:36 Saturno: "I will turn to the one that hit me."
02:02:43 DM: "the one above or below?"
02:02:41 Saturno: "And I will strike it on this one below."
02:02:50 DM: "Okay, go ahead for your attack."
02:02:52 Saturno: "And then first I'd like to do Blooming Blade."
02:02:56 DM: "Okay,"
02:02:57 Saturno: "I'll just have that out there. And then I will use my Halberd of Justice."
02:03:15 DM: "16."
02:03:15 Saturno: "Is that it?"
02:03:16 DM: "That hits, yeah. Go ahead and roll damage. 11 damage. Describe to me how you kill this Blight."
02:03:31 Saturno: "Um, hmm. I'd say after it hits me,"
02:03:41 Irredel: "Thank you."
02:03:40 Saturno: "I take a stumble but I use a stumble to propel me forward and I hit it in the neck between the shoulder blades."
02:03:49 DM: "Nice. All right. And then you have slain this mind blight. You have another attack left. Okay. Go ahead and roll it."
02:03:58 Saturno: "And I will now look at the one above me and I will do the same. I just said no. Okay. Then I am done."
02:04:22 DM: "a nine um attack roll unfortunately does not hit all right still there*..."
02:04:35 Saturno: "Uh, and my turn."
02:04:39 Sildir: "alrighty, um, I'll just like go and I guess I'll move right here and hit him with a sword."
02:04:58 DM: "go ahead and roll that*..."
02:05:00 Sildir: "let me see real quick, actually,"
02:05:07 Mercurio: "Mm hmm."
02:05:10 Sildir: "okay. well, let me just do it this way*. oh wait, I have advantage. actually, let's do it again."
02:05:25 DM: "that was an 18 that hits Okay,"
02:05:34 Sildir: "yeah,"
02:05:31 DM: "so 24 attack roll from the longsword instead of the 18. So that hits. Okay, damage."
02:05:40 Sildir: "divine damage."
02:05:42 DM: "Nice."
02:05:43 Sildir: "well, just do a bonus action which will let me do a smite of the divine variety. uh,"
02:06:02 Saturno: "Kiss me."
02:06:03 Sildir: "yeah, let's do that damage. Nine more damage."
02:06:13 DM: "Nine more damage, nice. So yeah, so you do nine damage from the longsword and then additional nine radiant damage from divine smite. Yeah, this fine bite is bloodied."
02:06:29 Sildir: "All right. That's it for me."
02:06:30 DM: "You still have your extra attack."
02:06:31 Sildir: "Oh, shoot. OK. Yeah. It's been a minute. My bad. Let me do that."
02:06:39 DM: "Okay."
02:06:50 Sildir: "Do I still get advantage or it's just one time?"
02:06:53 DM: "Just once."
02:06:56 Sildir: "Okay."
02:06:57 DM: "Okay, that was another 24."
02:06:57 Sildir: "Then need it."
02:06:58 DM: "That hits."
02:07:01 Sildir: "And seven more damage."
02:07:02 DM: "Seven more damage. Next. This Vine Blight is just barely standing."
02:07:08 Sildir: "Bastard."
02:07:10 DM: "Alright. Alright, now it's going to be this Vine Blight over here. um, this one is going to come up on saturno. it's going to go for its constrict attack and it has bane,"
02:07:34 Mercurio: "Oh, fuck."
02:07:31 DM: "so that's a 19 which i believe still hits um, and it's gonna roll some damage and that's gonna- oh my gosh, That's going to be 13 damage on Saturno. And also you are grappled. The DC to escape the grapple is 12.."
02:07:52 Saturno: "Okay."
02:07:56 DM: "Let's see. This Vine Blight in the back is now up. This one's going to come up over here. And it's going to go for a Constrict Attack on Ember. This one, I believe, also has Bane, right? Yeah."
02:08:16 Mercurio: "Yeah."
02:08:18 DM: "That is an 18, which hits. That's going to do some damage."
02:08:24 Ember: "Great."
02:08:27 DM: "So Ember takes 8 damage and is also grappled. Yeah. The escape DC is 12. Alright, Ember, it's your turn."
02:08:46 Ember: "Okay,"
02:08:46 Mercurio: "guys."
02:08:47 Ember: "um, can I use my silver short sword? Alright."
02:08:50 DM: "you can okay so that was a 20 attack roll with the short sword that's not a natural 20 so go ahead and roll your damage seven damage nice Anything else?"
02:09:25 Ember: "Can I use my stadium again?"
02:09:27 Irredel: "Okay."
02:09:28 DM: "Oh, that's right. You do need to declare that beforehand, but I'll just let you do it."
02:09:34 Ember: "Okay."
02:09:34 DM: "So yeah, go ahead and roll your sneak attack."
02:09:38 Ember: "Okay."
02:09:51 DM: "17 damage. Okay, so that's 17 damage from your sneak attack. Yeah, describe to me how you kill this fine flight."
02:09:58 Ember: "I close the distance and I stab him at its core."
02:10:04 DM: "Alright. Very quick and clean. Nice. Alright, Iridale, it's your turn."
02:10:11 Irredel: "All right, so Saturno's pretty beat up right now, right? Okay. I'm going to go ahead. Okay,"
02:10:16 Saturno: "I am like half health. Yeah."
02:10:21 Irredel: "I'm going to go ahead and cast Healing Word."
02:10:23 Ember: "Thank you."
02:10:26 DM: "What's the word?"
02:10:28 Irredel: "Friends."
02:10:32 DM: "Nice. Okay,"
02:10:42 Irredel: "All right, so that's nine healing for Saturno."
02:10:46 DM: "I'll add that. So Theradel has healed, Saturna for 9 HP. Nice."
02:10:52 Saturno: "Yippee!"
02:10:53 Irredel: "And I really don't have that many bone affections, so I am done."
02:10:58 DM: "You do still have your voice of authority feature."
02:11:21 Irredel: "Oh, yeah, okay. Yeah, so if that's the case, then yeah, I will use the voice of authority feature, and so I guess, yeah, Saturno can now use your reaction to make one weapon attack against a creature of your choice that you can see."
02:11:37 Saturno: "wait, can i do that, even though i have to try to break out of this?"
02:11:43 Mercurio: "Yeah, you can."
02:11:43 DM: "Yeah, you just can't move."
02:11:45 Saturno: "oh, okay, so i could just attack one of these."
02:11:48 Irredel: "Yeah."
02:11:49 Saturno: "okay, i'll do it."
02:11:49 Irredel: "So attack the one that's holding you."
02:11:51 Saturno: "yeah, i'll do."
02:11:53 Irredel: "Bye."
02:11:52 Saturno: "is that that's the one on top,"
02:11:54 DM: "It's the one below."
02:11:54 Saturno: "or is it below? okay, i'll attack that one with my halberd of justice. Is that him?"
02:12:11 DM: "12 attack roll. Let's see. Let me double check. That just hits. Yeah. So go ahead and roll damage."
02:12:20 Saturno: "Okay,"
02:12:20 DM: "Okay. So 12 damage to the Vine Blight. Nice."
02:12:26 Saturno: "thank you."
02:12:28 DM: "All right. Anything else here, Adele?"
02:12:30 Irredel: "Nope."
02:12:31 DM: "All right."
02:12:32 Saturno: "Am I still held?"
02:12:35 DM: "Yes, you are."
02:12:36 Saturno: "Okay. Okay."
02:12:37 DM: "Oh, whoops. I accidentally passed. Okay. Mercurio, it's your turn."
02:12:44 Mercurio: "So which one has Saturno grappled?"
02:12:47 DM: "The one below,"
02:12:47 Mercurio: "The bottom one?"
02:12:48 Saturno: "Let's go,"
02:12:48 DM: "yeah."
02:12:48 Saturno: "Mick."
02:12:49 Mercurio: "Okay. Alright, I'm going to try to shove the twig bite in front of me into the hole."
02:12:59 DM: "Okay, give me a strength check."
02:13:01 Irredel: "Bye."
02:13:00 DM: "And then the Blight is going to do an opposing strength."
02:13:04 Mercurio: "Okay. Well..."
02:13:09 DM: "So..."
02:13:11 Mercurio: "And it subtracts a d4."
02:13:13 DM: "Nice, yeah, because Bane, that's right. Nice."
02:13:22 Mercurio: "Fuck yeah."
02:13:23 DM: "So Mercurio did a 12 strength check and the fine blight got a 11. So it loses. It's going to fall into the pit. And falling down the pit, taking damage from the fall itself. And also against the spikes that are at the bottom."
02:13:44 Irredel: "you you*..."
02:13:45 DM: "That will go ahead and kill this fine blight. So this one is dead."
02:13:49 Mercurio: "I Sparta kick him into the hole."
02:13:52 DM: "Nice."
02:13:59 Ember: "Bye."
02:13:58 DM: "So that was 26 points of damage that Mercurio dealt by kicking this Pine Blight into this pit."
02:14:04 Mercurio: "It's like most of my damage in the campaign."
02:14:08 DM: "Yeah. Nice. Anything else you got?"
02:14:15 Mercurio: "And then I will..."
02:14:25 Irredel: "Thank you."
02:14:23 Mercurio: "I will give a bardic inspiration to Saturno and give her advantage too,"
02:14:35 DM: "Nice. Cool."
02:14:38 Saturno: "Peace."
02:14:38 DM: "All right."
02:14:33 Mercurio: "with my familiar flank turret."
02:14:41 DM: "That one's dead. That one's dead. All right. So this one, the one right next to Sildir, is going to go for its Constrict Attack on Sildir. And it has this advantage because Mercurial has been put in its line of sight. And it still rolls a 21 to hit."
02:14:59 Mercurio: "What the fuck?"
02:15:01 DM: "Get some damage."
02:15:03 Irredel: "Wait, what's the,"
02:15:04 Sildir: "Yeah,"
02:15:04 Irredel: "remember you have plus two to your AC?"
02:15:06 Sildir: "it's 20. Still hits, unfortunately."
02:15:08 Irredel: "Dang."
02:15:10 DM: "Let's get some damage."
02:15:12 Mercurio: "These guys are eye-rolling like crazy."
02:15:12 DM: "So here they are."
02:15:14 Sildir: "I*..."
02:15:14 DM: "So that's 10 damage to Sildur, and he is grappled. Um, Satona, it's your turn."
02:15:22 Saturno: "So I have to roll a 12."
02:15:27 DM: "Yeah, to escape."
02:15:27 Saturno: "To be to escape."
02:15:27 Sildir: "don't even know why I'm saving throw for concentration."
02:15:29 DM: "I will also point out that if you do that, that's going to be your action, so you won't be able to also attack."
02:15:34 Saturno: "Oh, no, I'll just swing. I'm in a nice place."
02:15:37 DM: "Okay."
02:15:38 Irredel: "Bye."
02:15:41 Saturno: "Oh, let me. I'm going to swing, and can I also bring out Memphis?"
02:15:55 DM: "can um, bringing up memphis will be your bonus action. but, yes,"
02:15:59 Saturno: "Okay, I'll do it. Okay, that doesn't do shit, so."
02:15:59 DM: "you can um,"
02:16:06 Saturno: "I don't hit."
02:16:06 DM: "your your attack roll was a nine that does not hit um, you just have your extra attack."
02:16:13 Saturno: "Okay, I'll do it."
02:16:18 DM: "uh, yeah, go ahead and roll that."
02:16:20 Saturno: "I did, but it didn't."
02:16:24 DM: "that's weird. okay,"
02:16:25 Saturno: "Oh,"
02:16:25 DM: "there it is."
02:16:25 Saturno: "it's changing. There you go."
02:16:27 DM: "yeah, so that was a 23 attack roll that hits. go ahead and roll your damage. what's going on over here? okay,"
02:16:36 Saturno: "Fighting."
02:16:36 Sildir: "Just remembering how to turn off my concentration. I figured it out."
02:16:40 DM: "okay, cool."
02:16:41 Sildir: "I'm cheating."
02:16:41 DM: "uh, so that was 10 damage that saturno did to this spine blight. um, are you able to bring out memphis from your companions list*?"
02:16:51 Saturno: "I'm going to try it real quick. Hold up. I'm struggling. I don't know how to bring it on."
02:17:26 DM: "Yeah, on your character sheet, you should see the three dots on the top right, and then companions."
02:17:23 Saturno: "like this no yeah okay i see did i oh i put them all over there i meant to put them here*..."
02:17:52 DM: "I will say you can attack with Memphis. The Memphis attack you can only do twice per rest."
02:18:01 Saturno: "Got it. Hmm. Twice per rest. Okay, I'll do it once."
02:18:16 DM: "Wait, one sec. It's twice per long rest. Just keeping that in mind. You can do it if you want. Go ahead and roll the attack if you're going to do it."
02:18:28 Saturno: "Go in. But it says Memphis doesn't have the Halberd of Justice."
02:18:38 DM: "You can just do it from your character. Okay."
02:18:45 Saturno: "Okay."
02:18:46 DM: "That's an 11."
02:18:47 Saturno: "Ugh."
02:18:48 DM: "Unfortunately,"
02:18:48 Saturno: "Never mind."
02:18:48 DM: "does not hit."
02:18:50 Saturno: "I have Bardic Inspiration."
02:18:51 DM: "Oh yeah, you can use that. It's a d8, right, Gui?"
02:18:59 Mercurio: "Yes."
02:18:52 Saturno: "Let me use it."
02:19:00 DM: "You're one away from hitting, so no matter what you roll, this will connect."
02:19:03 Saturno: "Got it."
02:19:02 DM: "So you don't have to roll it, but you can if you want to."
02:19:05 Saturno: "You know, it's fine. I'll just do damage."
02:19:07 DM: "OK. Eight damage. All right. Describe for me how you kill this Spineflight with Memphis."
02:19:20 Saturno: "Ice cream from Memphis, and then Memphis teleports ice cream, Maharaga, and then, help me, and then Memphis shows up, and I'll say Memphis kind of slams their head, like, sideways, and just kind of, like, knocks it out."
02:19:43 DM: "Nice. Alright. Sildur, it's your turn."
02:19:49 Sildir: "All right."
02:19:50 DM: "Now that that thing is dead, Saturna, you're no longer grappled."
02:19:54 Saturno: "Nice."
02:20:02 DM: "Onsword 22."
02:20:04 Irredel: "Let's see."
02:20:04 DM: "With the longsword, that hits. This thing had one health left. You can roll the damage if you want, but no matter what you do,"
02:20:11 Irredel: "Okay."
02:20:10 DM: "it'll kill it."
02:20:15 Sildir: "Yeah, I just do one damage."
02:20:17 DM: "nice*..."
02:20:19 Sildir: "uh, what's? do you know where my like attack bonus is coming from? like, i understand, like the three, but where's the four coming from, you know? so my proficiency, i thought, was three,"
02:20:33 Mercurio: "Your four is the..."
02:20:36 Sildir: "that four is my strength, so i think i should actually be getting a plus two this whole time. that i never noticed because of, uh, duelist, the feat that i have,"
02:20:28 DM: "that's your proficiency your proficiency is three and the four is your strength yeah i yeah why Yeah, that should be an extra 2 damage."
02:20:52 Sildir: "I don't know, Is it damage? Ah?"
02:20:55 Mercurio: "I think Duelist is damage,"
02:20:56 Sildir: "well that's probably what it is."
02:20:57 Mercurio: "yeah."
02:20:57 Sildir: "So if it's damage, let me see if that's... I'll roll damage this one time to see if it's... So I don't think it is counting my damage."
02:21:05 DM: "It's not."
02:21:06 Sildir: "Those bastards."
02:21:06 Irredel: "Perfect."
02:21:08 DM: "Well, either way,"
02:21:09 Mercurio: "Boom. The importance of knowing this."
02:21:09 Sildir: "I'm supposed to be the number one leaderboard damage dealer. No, I'm just kidding. But I need to..."
02:21:15 Mercurio: "You were robbed."
02:21:10 DM: "it's Oh my gosh. Nice."
02:21:18 Sildir: "need to look at that all right in that case i do eight damage boom*..."
02:21:25 DM: "And with that, you finish this combat encounter. And yeah, you're back on the road."
02:21:38 Sildir: "wow i thought that guy was just crazy but*..."
02:21:46 Irredel: "Does anyone know anything about tree blights? Are they sophisticated enough to set traps like that?"
02:21:55 DM: "Someone can do history, maybe? Or maybe survival?"
02:22:01 Mercurio: "I can do 13."
02:22:03 Ember: "You."
02:22:04 DM: "Let's see. Okay, 13 survival from... Sorry, 13 history from Mercurio. I'll say with that... That was a sixth history from Ember. The sixth one, with 13 Mercurio, you don't really know a whole lot about tree blights or vine blights or the like. You do know that they aren't particularly intelligent."
02:22:35 Ember: "Bye."
02:22:30 DM: "Certainly not intelligent to create traps or build things or anything like that."
02:22:38 Mercurio: "no yeah they're pretty stupid so there's somebody out here maybe that created the tree blights or something*..."
02:22:50 Sildir: "Interesting,"
02:22:50 Irredel: "Interesting."
02:22:51 Sildir: "I'm going to. All right."
02:22:51 Irredel: "I'm going to stay on the next couple steps ahead for any more traps or anything. Okay."
02:22:51 DM: "um okay um yeah Aridel with your 14 survival check you scan ahead and you don't see any further traps or anything like that*..."
02:23:11 Irredel: "Alright, well, I don't see anything. Everyone watch out for that pit."
02:23:12 Sildir: "see anything everyone watch out for that and um it's creator*..."
02:23:15 Irredel: "And let's keep moving before whatever its creator or before its creator comes back."
02:23:28 DM: "Okay. And as you continue going along this path, Maybe like 10 minutes or so traveling. You come across, let's see. You see here the road continues,"
02:23:46 Irredel: "city."
02:23:43 DM: "bending again as trees begin to pull back from the path. Not far from the road, amidst a small grove of berry-bearing bushes, stands an old stone steel, standing just under six feet in height. It stands within a circle of old cracked cobblestones and seems to bear some kind of carving."
02:24:06 Mercurio: "Well, that's six feet tall and has the carving."
02:24:09 DM: "There's a standing stone here."
02:24:11 Mercurio: "Standing stone."
02:24:20 Saturno: "Maybe if you play music."
02:24:20 Mercurio: "Can I do an arcana check?"
02:24:22 Saturno: "I don't know."
02:24:27 DM: "What did you say?"
02:24:29 Mercurio: "Can I do an arcana check?"
02:24:30 DM: "Yeah, go for it."
02:24:34 Mercurio: "Ten."
02:24:35 DM: "With a 10 arcana check,"
02:24:40 Irredel: "You."
02:24:37 DM: "you aren't really able to make out much of anything magic-wise coming from this stone."
02:24:45 Mercurio: "Does the rune look familiar, like the carving?"
02:24:50 DM: "So you get a bit closer to look at what's on the stone, and you're able to examine the carving here. You can see that this carving depicts a wolf. uh above a three-pointed star*..."
02:25:14 Irredel: "Well, probably just an old archaeological thing. We should keep moving. Not wanting to be reminded of anything particularly wolfy right now. Do I recognize the symbol?"
02:25:35 DM: "You do not."
02:25:37 Sildir: "Is it a wolf symbol? Sorry, I phased out for a second."
02:25:41 DM: "It was a wolf above a three-pointed star."
02:25:49 Saturno: "Hmm."
02:25:50 Sildir: "Reminds me of the raven above the three-pointed star we saw at the other place."
02:26:02 Irredel: "Well,"
02:26:02 Sildir: "You are more than welcome to investigate it."
02:26:02 Irredel: "you are more than welcome to investigate it."
02:26:04 Sildir: "I'm going to stay over."
02:26:04 Irredel: "I'm going to stay over. Actually,"
02:26:06 Sildir: "Actually,"
02:26:06 Irredel: "no. Are you going to investigate it?"
02:26:06 Sildir: "not really going to investigate it. I'll stay by you."
02:26:08 Irredel: "I'll stand by you."
02:26:09 DM: "Okay."
02:26:12 Sildir: "Thanks, Seradel. I'm okay, though. I don't really want to investigate it. And, you know, I know it can't be easy to let go of. Just like it's not easy for me to let go of my arm. But it's okay. It's not your fault. You can let it go. I know it'll take time, but I'm telling you now so that you can start to think about it."
02:26:41 Irredel: "Let me stay close to you. At least let me feel like I'm making up this debt, balancing out a ledger."
02:26:49 Sildir: "Well, that's fine then."
02:26:57 Irredel: "Oh, you disconnected. I couldn't hear you. It's weird."
02:27:06 Saturno: "I couldn't hear anything."
02:27:14 Sildir: "Hello, testing?"
02:27:11 Irredel: "There you are. Yeah."
02:27:16 Saturno: "Yeah."
02:27:15 DM: "There you are."
02:27:17 Sildir: "Yeah,"
02:27:17 Irredel: "Yeah,"
02:27:17 Saturno: "Well,"
02:27:17 DM: "Somebody disconnected."
02:27:18 Saturno: "who disconnected?"
02:27:18 Sildir: "I just said..."
02:27:18 DM: "Uh-oh,"
02:27:19 Saturno: "Maybe it's Pulte? This here? Question mark? Is she just... You're here? Okay. Oh,"
02:27:24 Ember: "I'm here Yeah*..."
02:27:26 Saturno: "I don't know."
02:27:28 Sildir: "Yeah,"
02:27:28 Irredel: "I got it."
02:27:28 Sildir: "I could have disconnected for a second, maybe. I don't know. But in any case... Oh, wait, no, it's Guy. Guy's gone."
02:27:36 Saturno: "Oh, Lamao. Spectrum."
02:27:40 DM: "I'm having a . Yeah,"
02:27:43 Sildir: "He's pissed that I didn't want to investigate that stone and he rage quit."
02:27:47 DM: "great. Wait, he's offline on this cartoon. Did his internet go out? What happened?"
02:27:50 Sildir: "He probably lost internet."
02:27:52 DM: "Yeah."
02:27:52 Saturno: "I don't know, but I have internet."
02:27:55 DM: "What*..."
02:27:55 Sildir: "And you're in the same place, right?"
02:27:58 Saturno: "Yeah, but, like, he had an outage not that long ago that lasted, like... Well, the outage was, like, actually a thing, but then it fried his, like, router modem."
02:28:10 Sildir: "He's typing now."
02:28:13 DM: "did he say? Mm-hmm."
02:28:14 Sildir: "technical difficulties he says well I mean 2 hours 45 minutes in not bad either way at least it wasn't like an hour in or something dealing with this basically though I don't know if you guys heard the last thing I said basically it's just like I'll be around if anyone's looking into it but I'm not looking into it*..."
02:28:48 Saturno: "I was going to tell Mercurio if he wanted to maybe play the flute around it,"
02:28:53 DM: "Yeah."
02:28:54 Sildir: "I wonder if he was already not hearing you at that point."
02:28:54 Saturno: "but but yeah,"
02:28:58 DM: "Yeah."
02:28:58 Saturno: "I'll let him know after."
02:29:00 Sildir: "Because last time he heard music at one of these rocks is what I remember."
02:29:04 Saturno: "that's why I was like maybe something connection there, But at the same time I'm okay not exploring it Because I feel like it hasn't even been a full day. You know, Touchy stuff."
02:29:24 Sildir: "Circuit breaker went off."
02:29:27 Saturno: "Oh."
02:29:27 DM: "That's super weird. That's been happening a lot recently for key. It's so strange."
02:29:31 Saturno: "How's..."
02:29:38 Sildir: "Mine's about to go off too. I'll talk to you."
02:29:41 DM: "Bye-bye."
02:29:48 Sildir: "Just kidding."
02:29:59 DM: "Where are all those crows coming from?"
02:30:05 Saturno: "I thought that was actually outside at some point, and I was like, bro, I'm tweaking."
02:30:11 DM: "Oh my gosh. Did anyone watch the game today?"
02:30:17 Saturno: "Beep."
02:30:18 Sildir: "I know they..."
02:30:18 Saturno: "I saw the fight that broke out, and that was funny."
02:30:19 DM: "You saw the fight?"
02:30:21 Saturno: "Yeah."
02:30:22 Sildir: "I don't know."
02:30:22 DM: "There was a fight?"
02:30:22 Sildir: "There was a fight."
02:30:24 Saturno: "Yeah, Argentina. Argentina can't handle it."
02:30:29 Sildir: "Classic."
02:30:31 Saturno: "More like Argentoonah."
02:30:28 DM: "Or did Got him."
02:30:35 Saturno: "Thank you."
02:30:36 DM: "I don't think they're ever going to recover from that one, Steph. You really got him with that?"
02:30:40 Saturno: "I thought you meant the game, but yeah, I want to."
02:31:01 DM: "Berski. Do you think he's coming back? What did you say? Hmm."
02:31:10 Sildir: "undoubtedly it's trying to I'm sure*..."
02:31:31 DM: "um i'll say we'll give it another couple minutes and if not we'll keep going for a bit*..."
02:31:41 Sildir: "good deal*..."
02:31:47 DM: "what did everyone else do today*..."
02:31:53 Sildir: "i practice guitar quite a bit. i played some chrono cg- good game,"
02:32:02 DM: "I've been playing a lot of funny games lately."
02:32:07 Sildir: "um, i guess mostly that one. what else are you thinking of?"
02:32:07 DM: "Because you were playing Final Fantasy earlier, mainly, is what I was thinking of."
02:32:15 Sildir: "uh, true, yes, and i'm playing chrono trigger as well, and then chrono cg is the card game, so that's a little confusing."
02:32:23 DM: "Oh, okay. I thought you were talking about Chrono Trigger. Okay. Well, apparently you're also playing that. So,"
02:32:28 Sildir: "yeah,"
02:32:28 DM: "huh."
02:32:19 Irredel: "in a criminal case."
02:32:28 Sildir: "no,"
02:32:28 DM: "Good."
02:32:28 Sildir: "i'd see why you would think of chrono trigger, though."
02:32:30 DM: "Yeah."
02:32:30 Sildir: "but yeah,"
02:32:32 DM: "Yeah,"
02:32:32 Sildir: "Chrono Trigger I haven't played in a while, but I'll probably play it a little bit this week because I'm going with something that's your conference."
02:32:37 DM: "I forget what kind of game that is. Because I ran out of confidence. Who is she comparing?"
02:32:46 Sildir: "Lots of environmentalists. Well,"
02:32:48 DM: "Oh my."
02:32:48 Sildir: "not necessarily environmentalists, environmental field people."
02:32:53 DM: "You see?"
02:32:55 Sildir: "Is that fair assessment?"
02:32:57 Irredel: "It's the biggest environmental conference in the state."
02:32:57 Sildir: "It's the biggest environmental conference in the state. 50."
02:33:00 DM: "Oh my, sounds important."
02:33:01 Saturno: "How we..."
02:33:02 Sildir: "15, I'm sure people will be there."
02:33:01 Irredel: "Like 1,500 people will be there."
02:33:04 DM: "lot of people."
02:33:05 Sildir: "Yeah,"
02:33:07 DM: "have you been to one of those before?"
02:33:09 Irredel: "Yeah,"
02:33:09 Sildir: "this is my fourth or fifth one."
02:33:09 Irredel: "this is my fourth or fifth one."
02:33:12 DM: "oh,"
02:33:13 Irredel: "Yeah, it's every year."
02:33:14 Sildir: "It's over here. Yeah,"
02:33:18 Irredel: "Yeah,"
02:33:18 Sildir: "my whole team goes."
02:33:19 Irredel: "my whole team goes."
02:33:14 DM: "do you see the same folks i see? are you friends with any of the people that you meet there?"
02:33:23 Irredel: "No, just colleagues."
02:33:23 Sildir: "I'm just calling this."
02:33:25 DM: "i see,"
02:33:32 Irredel: "Mm hmm."
02:33:32 Sildir: "It's a pretty nice hotel."
02:33:33 Irredel: "Yeah."
02:33:34 DM: "Where is it?"
02:33:35 Irredel: "Yeah. Yeah. Yeah."
02:33:33 Sildir: "It's in Marco Island."
02:33:38 DM: "Really?"
02:33:38 Sildir: "So, yep."
02:33:40 DM: "Were you just there?"
02:33:42 Sildir: "Yeah,"
02:33:43 Saturno: "Different business."
02:33:43 Sildir: "but that was different. That was a family trip. This is conference, but yeah, it is funny to go right back over there."
02:33:51 DM: "Yeah."
02:33:53 Sildir: "It's a nice spot, though."
02:33:52 Saturno: "How was your family trip?"
02:33:55 Sildir: "It was good. We got to hang out with Spanish parents and grandparents."
02:34:04 Irredel: "Cool. That's cool."
02:34:04 Sildir: "It's cool to have a little more of a personal time with her grandparents just because he's such a figure. You kind of have to have him alone for him to... decompress a bit and be more himself."
02:34:20 DM: "Oh, I see."
02:34:20 Sildir: "So this one,"
02:34:24 DM: "Yeah."
02:34:21 Sildir: "just getting to chat and vibe with him and just seeing his proclivities and stuff."
02:34:27 DM: "What are his..."
02:34:27 Sildir: "He was super bummed out that we were about to not get ice cream at one point."
02:34:32 DM: "Oh my gosh."
02:34:32 Sildir: "And we were like, let's just go get ice cream. It was a really funny moment."
02:34:37 Irredel: "He's a character."
02:34:37 Sildir: "It was good just getting to know him a little better."
02:34:39 DM: "Ryan,"
02:34:39 Irredel: "But yeah,"
02:34:39 DM: "why didn't you have somebody else? I know."
02:34:40 Irredel: "the house is super fucking nice."
02:34:46 Sildir: "Interesting."
02:34:46 DM: "Have you been there before?"
02:34:42 Irredel: "So that's always amazing to stay at. Well, he bought it like a year ago, I think."
02:34:51 DM: "Okay."
02:34:49 Sildir: "but since i can't just be stated*..."
02:34:51 Irredel: "But this is the first time I stayed there. Yeah. But for the conference, we'll just be staying at the hotel because obviously it's like a work thing and I need to be able to go back to my room and work."
02:34:53 DM: "Let me see."
02:35:03 Saturno: "Mhm."
02:35:03 DM: "Yeah."
02:35:05 Irredel: "Yeah."
02:35:06 DM: "I actually got ice cream today. That's a good idea. Breathing stuff."
02:35:13 Saturno: "Yeah."
02:35:13 DM: "Yeah."
02:35:22 Irredel: "Yeah, the pool is, like,"
02:35:23 Sildir: "Yeah,"
02:35:23 Irredel: "freaking amazing. What a place."
02:35:26 DM: "There's a pool at the beach house? Let me see. That's interesting."
02:35:37 Sildir: "they call him Alligator Ron or Big Ron. He's not fucking around. He's got the pool. If he didn't, they might call him Little Ron."
02:35:50 DM: "Oh, yeah."
02:35:50 Sildir: "You don't want that."
02:35:51 DM: "Oh, my. Why not? We're talking a little round."
02:35:54 Irredel: "Oh my god, so many things."
02:35:55 Sildir: "It's actually a deep cut, because his son's name is Ron, and he gets called Little Ron."
02:35:59 DM: "Really?"
02:35:58 Irredel: "Little Ronnie has so many mental health problems. Oh my god."
02:36:02 DM: "How old is he?"
02:36:02 Irredel: "He's been on cocaine since he was, like, 8. He's in his 50s."
02:36:07 DM: "Holy,"
02:36:07 Sildir: "Yeah,"
02:36:07 DM: "wait."
02:36:07 Sildir: "he's a pretty insane person overall."
02:36:07 DM: "What do you mean he's been on cocaine since he was eight?"
02:36:12 Sildir: "Just that. Like, literally. Yeah."
02:36:15 DM: "Ow."
02:36:16 Irredel: "If you, like, talk to him, he's like,"
02:36:17 Sildir: "I don't really think so."
02:36:17 Irredel: "I've been diagnosed with everything. Like, my, uh... The psychologist can't figure out if it's bipolar 1 or bipolar 2, and so she just said it's both."
02:36:28 DM: "Is that a thing? Can it be both?"
02:36:31 Irredel: "How*... far away do you think you are?"
02:36:42 Sildir: "So how far away do you think we are from reaching Erwin's dad's place?"
02:36:49 DM: "I don't know. We'll see. Yeah. You did go on the road from the sign, so probably not much longer."
02:37:00 Sildir: "Gotcha. That's what I was wondering. Because I'm just wondering, worst case scenario with Guy, we could just wrap up the journey. Yes, it's a water canal, so."
02:37:09 Irredel: "yeah i sent a photo of it you can see the pool the one like in the middle*..."
02:37:33 DM: "Oh, wow. Huh. So there's a pool there and then there's like the water right there. That's interesting. And there's a boat."
02:37:44 Irredel: "it's a deep- yeah, it's a deep water canal,"
02:37:47 DM: "I see."
02:37:46 Irredel: "so you can park large boats there,"
02:37:49 DM: "Yeah."
02:37:53 Saturno: "Wowee. That's nice."
02:37:55 Irredel: "yeah*."
02:38:12 Saturno: "No. Oh,"
02:38:15 Irredel: "Thank you."
02:38:15 Saturno: "no."
02:38:17 DM: "What was that?"
02:38:19 Saturno: "You don't want to know."
02:38:20 DM: "I don't want to know. I'm curious."
02:38:23 Saturno: "Oh, you know."
02:38:25 DM: "He said five minutes. That seems tenable. Does anyone have any scary stories?"
02:38:43 Saturno: "Hmm."
02:38:38 Sildir: "Family is our last super curse to be."
02:38:44 Irredel: "Family is or was like super cursed in the 80s."
02:38:49 DM: "Wait, what do you mean?"
02:38:51 Irredel: "Family was super cursed in the 80s."
02:38:54 DM: "That doesn't explain. How were they cursed? What was the curse? Who cursed them?"
02:38:59 Saturno: "Like the Kennedy's kind of thing or like?"
02:39:01 DM: "You say they were cursed, meaning that they're no longer cursed? How did that come?"
02:39:06 Irredel: "I mean, there's just like bad things stopped happening. Yeah. I don't know. They lived out in the middle of the Everglades. A bunch of really terrifying stuff happened. They had big 55-gallon drums that they would throw away trash in. And at one point, they had their trailer up on like a... Hmm? Yeah. No, they'd have to drive to the dump. Yeah. It was literally in the middle of the Everglades where they lived at that point. People would just have to get around on ATVs and stuff."
02:39:25 DM: "that 55 gallon drums for like trash receptacles where like people come like where like people picking those up oh okay um Yeah. Yeah."
02:39:55 Irredel: "So anyways, they had those and there's some bigger ones too. I think it's the one that's slightly bigger than that, but whatever the really big plastic drum size is. they would like fill up with trash. and my dad says he remembers they built their trailer up on like a little bit of a mound so that like it wouldn't flood or whatever. and there's a driveway that sloped down. and my dad says at one point there was, um, one of the big trash drums was like knocked over and it rolled like all the way down the driveway and that normally wouldn't be a problem,"
02:40:34 DM: "The fuck."
02:40:36 Irredel: "except no one was out there and they watched it roll all the way back up the driveway And they would also see faces in the window at night. I feel like a lot of bad stuff happened at that time too. So my grandma's addiction issues got really bad. She ended up getting a divorce from my grandpa. My grandpa cheated a whole bunch of times. My grandma tried to murder my grandpa."
02:40:59 DM: "Holy. Oh,"
02:41:00 Irredel: "and several times um and as all this was happening they all went down to fort lauderdale beach which is if you know there's like a lot of like beachside psychics and stuff like that and as they were walking past a psychic store uh one of the psychics ran out and like grabbed my grandma by the shoulders and told her, like, I'm not going to charge you for this. This isn't me asking you to come into my shop, but I need to let you know that a horrible being has attached itself to you and your family."
02:41:35 DM: "it's here."
02:41:36 Irredel: "She's following you right now, a few feet behind. I don't know how long she's been following you or how long she will follow you. She's a nun, dressed all in white, in a wheelchair, and she's very angry."
02:41:52 DM: "what the*..."
02:41:52 Saturno: "Ade. Did you have to do, like, un depojo or something? Like, a cleanse? Mmm."
02:42:03 Irredel: "i don't know."
02:42:04 Saturno: "It's a real cushion."
02:42:04 Irredel: "she actually just ended up going to, uh, mississippi- which is where her like inpatient treatment was,"
02:42:10 Saturno: "Mm-hmm."
02:42:11 Irredel: "uh, and moved away and nothing really happened since."
02:42:19 DM: "hell that's what ended it*..."
02:42:22 Irredel: "yeah, they also moved houses. strangely, though, the house that they moved into like after that. so again, it was like the- the divorce happened and before my grandma went to treatment,"
02:42:34 DM: "Oh,"
02:42:31 Irredel: "they moved to a house in old bonaventure in weston and they didn't know this, but the previous owner of the house had actually killed himself in the house. um,"
02:42:40 DM: "shit."
02:42:41 Irredel: "And my dad says that he, like my dad, won't talk about to this day the things that they saw in that house. The only one that he mentions is he remembers, like, falling asleep on the couch and he saw a dog running around the corner of a hallway and back into another room."
02:43:01 DM: "Okay."
02:43:01 Irredel: "But they didn't have any dogs and the dog had a human face."
02:43:06 DM: "Holy shit. Damn, y'all are coming out here with actual scary stories."
02:43:15 Saturno: "Mm hmm."
02:43:13 DM: "Let's see. I'm debating whether or not I should go through the trouble of removing this part of the recording. Yeah."
02:43:16 Irredel: "so uh yeah they again they just kind of moved around from place to place and one time or another stuff like that stopped happening i don't know maybe if you're gonna post it yeah i didn't realize we were still recording*..."
02:43:36 DM: "Yeah, I figure I should. Yeah."
02:43:52 Irredel: "But yeah, those are my family's scary stories."
02:44:05 DM: "I have a scary story."
02:44:12 Sildir: "Go for it."
02:44:13 Saturno: "Eight."
02:44:14 DM: "Well, one time we were playing D&D and one of my players disconnected from the game because of technical difficulties. And I don't know if he ever came back."
02:44:25 Irredel: "Absolutely."
02:44:25 Sildir: "The depths of horror."
02:44:26 DM: "Yeah, I know. Terrifying, right? I wonder if he actually got transported to Barovia. Maybe that's why he disappeared."
02:44:51 Sildir: "Maybe the mist."
02:45:02 Irredel: "Bye."
02:45:04 DM: "Yeah, the mists. Oh,"
02:45:10 Sildir: "Okay."
02:45:10 DM: "he's green again on Discord. Cool. There he is. Big man blast,"
02:45:21 Mercurio: "I'm back."
02:45:22 DM: "boys. That was weird."
02:45:25 Mercurio: "Yeah,"
02:45:26 Sildir: "Thank you."
02:45:26 Mercurio: "we've been having weird electrical problems. Not totally sure what it is. It might be that we bought a faulty... What do you call it? Surge protector?"
02:45:41 DM: "Oh, yeah."
02:45:42 Mercurio: "Because I bought a new one to replace the old battery thingy."
02:45:46 DM: "Oh,"
02:45:46 Mercurio: "And then..."
02:45:46 DM: "and the new one is also fucked."
02:45:50 Mercurio: "Yeah, well, the battery thing just, like, couldn't, like, keep up with how many things we fucking plugged into it."
02:45:58 DM: "I see."
02:46:02 Mercurio: "So we needed just a direct thingy."
02:46:05 DM: "Yeah."
02:46:05 Mercurio: "But, yeah, then it got fried,"
02:46:09 DM: "Yeah."
02:46:09 Mercurio: "I guess. I don't know. Like, it was the arc,"
02:46:13 Irredel: "Okay."
02:46:13 Mercurio: "the little arc light was on. So, like, some wires, like, were apparently arcing. So it, like, safety shut off."
02:46:20 DM: "They're not supposed to do that."
02:46:22 Mercurio: "nope, they're not supposed to do that. But, yeah, Maria's dad's an electrician, and he told us, like, if we just plugged in something new, which I plugged that in, like, two days ago, then probably it's, like, defective."
02:46:37 DM: "I see. Well, that sucks. Hopefully you can return it or something."
02:46:42 Mercurio: "Yeah, probably. I'm back."
02:46:48 DM: "All right. Now that you all are back,"
02:46:59 Sildir: "Oh,"
02:46:59 Irredel: "Oh, and Steph."
02:46:57 DM: "let me go ahead and..."
02:47:00 Sildir: "it's time."
02:47:01 Irredel: "I forgot to close the loop."
02:47:01 Sildir: "The microphone isn't streaming."
02:47:02 Irredel: "When my grandma went to treatment, she also became religious."
02:47:03 Sildir: "She also can hang up with this."
02:47:05 Saturno: "I see."
02:47:05 Sildir: "So that'd be fun."
02:47:05 Irredel: "So that could be part of it."
02:47:07 Saturno: "Maybe, yeah."
02:47:07 Irredel: "She did the whole 12-step program."
02:47:06 Sildir: "Then the whole info set would go right in."
02:47:10 Saturno: "Okay, yeah. I know people, like, a lot of people, I don't mean to drag this on, but I know a lot of people, like, that have had things like that, like, they do, like, the bojos and, like, cleansings."
02:47:21 Irredel: "Yeah,"
02:47:22 Sildir: "Yeah, I think she does it in her own way."
02:47:23 Irredel: "I think she did it in her own way."
02:47:25 Sildir: "I think she just,"
02:47:26 Saturno: "Yeah."
02:47:26 Sildir: "you know,"
02:47:28 Saturno: "Yeah, maybe that did it. That's crazy, though."
02:47:26 Sildir: "gives real justice to Sally through the house and stuff."
02:47:32 Saturno: "You missed a game. Crazy story."
02:47:14 DM: "You're crazy, Laura, yeah."
02:47:36 Saturno: "Yeah, crazy lore dropped. You missed it."
02:47:42 Sildir: "I'll share it with you on the ground."
02:47:25 Irredel: "She just became religious and like now like praise in the house and stuff I'll share it if we ever end up going on a camping trip and we're sitting by the campfire*..."
02:47:46 Mercurio: "Sounds spooky."
02:47:47 Saturno: "bookie that involves."
02:47:47 DM: "I wonder if we'll ever do that. Yeah,"
02:47:50 Mercurio: "Ghost?"
02:47:49 Saturno: "That'd be fun."
02:47:50 DM: "you should tell it specifically when we camp in the Everglades. That would be something. Anyway."
02:47:59 Saturno: "That would be something."
02:48:00 Sildir: "The last time I told them camping trip,"
02:47:59 Irredel: "The last time I told it on a camping trip, I got kicked out of the tent."
02:48:01 Sildir: "I got kicked out of the tent. I was like,"
02:48:03 Irredel: "Everyone was like, fuck you."
02:48:04 Sildir: "fuck you."
02:48:05 Irredel: "You're not staying in here with your creepy,"
02:48:05 Sildir: "You're not staying in here with your freaking first family."
02:48:07 Irredel: "cursed family. Get the fuck out."
02:48:08 Sildir: "Get the fuck out."
02:48:11 Irredel: "Mm-hmm."
02:48:13 DM: "Oh my god."
02:48:12 Saturno: "We'll just have to bring, what is it? Parsley. I think parsley."
02:48:19 DM: "Did that work, Seth? No."
02:48:22 Saturno: "Clearly not. I'm still in therapy."
02:48:30 Irredel: "Okay."
02:48:34 DM: "All right. So let's get back to the scene. Let me see. I should have some blurbs for y'all somewhere. Give me a sec. Let's see. Alright, you continue heading along the road. I'm going to switch the scene for you guys. I forgot about that. And eventually you come towards some vineyards. You notice that there doesn't seem to be anyone around here tending to these fields at the moment. However, you do see a little bit in the distance the shadowy silhouette of a cloaked figure."
02:49:49 Mercurio: "The..."
02:49:58 Irredel: "Is there anything we can make out about the cloaked figure?"
02:50:01 DM: "Now, without getting a bit closer."
02:50:07 Sildir: "Yeah, usually the vineyards don't come with that included. Yeah, I think they made an agricultural play as a result, didn't they?"
02:50:07 Irredel: "I don't remember seeing any cloaked figures like that when we were evaluating the purchase price of that sustainable vineyard you were thinking about investing in yeah but they did have horses though yeah yeah yeah they used the horses to uh help till the soil so when the horses walked through the vineyards it would uh aerate the soil and make it better for the grapes*..."
02:50:44 Sildir: "I wish this guy was a horse. I think I'm just going to call out. Anyone against that?"
02:50:52 Mercurio: "Go for it."
02:50:57 Sildir: "Hello?"
02:51:01 DM: "The figure hears you call out and quickly turns in your direction."
02:51:07 Irredel: "Thank you."
02:51:07 DM: "You're able to make out a little bit from this distance that this appears to be like an old man draped in a green cloak. He is carrying a walking stick with him, and you can see at his side he has what appears to be a light crossbow hanging from his belt. He looks to you all. You see his eyes widen, and then he kind of gestures for you to come closer quickly."
02:51:38 Irredel: "How's that?"
02:51:39 DM: "Mm-hmm."
02:51:37 Sildir: "gestures for us to come closer quickly okay um i guess let me as i'm walking up closer to him Like, I'm going to be very careful, I guess. So I'd like to do like either perception or insight just to kind of see like the hell is going on here."
02:52:00 DM: "Go ahead and roll it. Okay, that's a nine perception."
02:52:09 Sildir: "Epic."
02:52:11 DM: "Yeah, it's an old man. He doesn't seem to be particularly dangerous to you, although you do think it's strange that he seems to be a bit... How do I say? Almost scared. And as you get closer, you also hear coming from a piercing screech splits the air from the south. It sounds like the familiar call of the Greater Strix. And a few moments later, it's answered by a second similar call from the east and a third call from the west. And as the three shrieks echo across the vineyard, the cloaked figure glances upward and his gestures become more urgent. And he like is trying to like beckon you to come closer. And he seems like pretty frantic about it."
02:53:08 Sildir: "Alright, I start to move a little bit quicker, but I'm like, well, say something, man. What?"
02:53:14 DM: "They'll hear us. You need to hurry."
02:53:18 Sildir: "Okay, so at that point, at least he doesn't sound like a complete weirdo, so I'm just going to go along with this and get closer to him."
02:53:26 DM: "Okay."
02:53:27 Sildir: "Like, all the way up to where he wants me to be."
02:53:34 DM: "um let's see let's see all right so you see the figure leads you through a small grove of beach trees tucked away amidst the woods you see there's smooth silvery gray trunks standing in a ring like ancient sentinels the canopy above forms a dense near unbroken ceiling of foliage casting the forest floor in an otherworldly shadow all around you the trees are uniform uh nearly symmetrical and their branches reach upward like slender arms towards the sky dozens of ravens sit perched up upon them uh their their dark eyes watching silently as you approach And then he leads you to what looks like a well-disguised trap door as he pulls it open in the center of the clearing and exposes a wooden ladder that descends down a shaft in the earth. He immediately starts climbing down the ladder and doesn't look back to see if you're following."
02:54:16 Sildir: "so quick clarifying question. like we were already in the vineyard, he's pulling me closer to like the side of the vineyard where there's a trap door. yeah,"
02:54:43 DM: "Yep."
02:54:43 Sildir: "okay, cool. um, i i'm gonna like signal everyone to get close and if they do, when you get close to me, i'll say to you like i think we should just go with this. i don't know what those streaks were and you know,"
02:54:58 Irredel: "I feel like we just need to start ."
02:54:59 Sildir: "i feel like we could take this guy if we had to anyway. so i feel like we're in the right spot. let's just go."
02:55:07 Mercurio: "Yeah, it might be."
02:55:09 Sildir: "Yeah, I think it probably is Erwin's dad, if I had to guess, but he doesn't want to talk right now. But yeah, I agree."
02:55:19 DM: "All right. Let's see, let's see. You descend down the wooden ladder, each step echoing faintly in the enclosed space as the rungs creak beneath your weight. Overhead, heavy raindrops drum against the closed trapdoor with a relentless rhythm,"
02:55:37 Irredel: "Thank you."
02:55:35 DM: "the muffled sound of booming thunder echoing far above."
02:55:42 Sildir: "Thank*..."
02:55:39 DM: "Rivulets of rainwater run down the damp stone walls around you, pooling in a sloshing, watery pit about 30 feet below. Halfway down the shaft, you see the walls open up into a small stone cavern, its rough walls damp and glistening. Lanterns hang from iron hooks that jet out from the walls, their flickering flames filling the space with the warm glow of candlelight. The perimeter of the cavern hosts a collection of crates and sacks, which appear to have been kept in relatively good condition. A tunnel stretches away from the south wall of the cave,"
02:56:11 Sildir: "you."
02:56:11 DM: "a thin layer of mist clinging to its floor as it vanishes into the darkness. Bedrolls and blankets are strewn across the rough cavern floor, occupied by an assortment of adults and children. Two men, bearing a striking resemblance to Erwin Mardukov, lean against the western wall, the elder with dark hair tinged slightly with gray and the younger bearing softer features and a mop of brownish hair. You see a woman kneeling beside a pair of young boys not far away, her angular features framed by locks of chestnut hair. A bald,"
02:56:42 Irredel: "Hmm."
02:56:42 DM: "broad-shouldered man with a darker complexion sits beside her, cradling an infant, sleeping peacefully in his arms. A teenager showing a blend of the man and the woman's features sits with his knees held close to his chest a few feet beyond, a half-whittled stick clutched in his hands. And you see the cloaked figure from before standing at the head of the group. The cowl of his cloak lowered to reveal the features of a man in his elder years. His gray, suspicious eyes scowl back at you, framed by strands of silver-gray hair that cascade down to his shoulders from the receding hairline along his scalp. His face is bronzed and weathered, and the wrinkles above his eyebrows split his forehead like furrowed troughs."
02:57:31 Sildir: "Okay."
02:57:34 Irredel: "Bye."
02:57:29 DM: "the patched green cloak he wears has clearly seen better days but appears to have been proudly decorated with clusters of raven's feathers meticulously sewn into the cowl and shoulders as well as a menagerie of nearly a dozen old pewter medallions and trinkets that have been haphazardly stitched into the fabric his weight leans against an old wooden cane its wide surface carved with intricate patterns of grapes and vines and his thick fingers tap impatiently against its edges and I'll switch the scene for y'all let's see I have this scene somewhere surely surely*..."
02:58:13 Sildir: "You must be the older Mordekov, Erwin's father."
02:58:18 DM: "hmm so you met the boy*..."
02:58:22 Mercurio: "I'm going to pull out the medallion from under my shirt. I think I would have had it like tucked in. Yeah, pretty much. He was worried about you and he sent his best."
02:58:31 DM: "and the boy has seen fit to to make our order known to you all right then i take it he sent you then hmm couldn't come himself though*..."
02:58:51 Mercurio: "No. probably pretty busy*..."
02:58:56 Sildir: "There's been a lot of changes in Milwaukee recently."
02:59:00 DM: "um, you're muted."
02:59:01 Sildir: "There's not a lot of changes in Milwaukee recently."
02:59:01 Irredel: "There's been a lot of changes in Valaki recently."
02:59:05 Sildir: "It is quite tumultuous there."
02:59:08 DM: "it has been some time since we've heard from velaki. we haven't been able to keep up our usual correspondence and shipments, not Not since the druids took over the winery."
02:59:23 Sildir: "The druids."
02:59:25 DM: "Yes. I assume that's why you're here."
02:59:22 Mercurio: "the druids Well..."
02:59:29 Sildir: "Are they the same as the forest folk?"
02:59:33 DM: "They are the forest folk, yes."
02:59:35 Sildir: "I see."
02:59:38 Irredel: "What interest could they have in a winery?"
02:59:38 Sildir: "Maybe they're trying to reclaim it or something."
02:59:42 DM: "Well."
02:59:41 Irredel: "I thought they lived in the wild. This is a very cultivated place, no?"
02:59:47 DM: "yes well hold up let me see make sure i have the right thing to give you guys*..."
02:59:57 Sildir: "Like I rewild these vineyard farms."
03:00:02 DM: "well it wasn't long ago that it happened it was about six days ago on the fourth The forest folk invaded the Wizard of Wines at dawn and drove us out. We've hidden here in this cavern ever since. And the druids weren't alone, no. They were accompanied by several dozen blights created by a cutting of the Galtheus tree upon Yesterhill."
03:00:41 Irredel: "Mom."
03:00:40 DM: "They've also been accompanied by three greater Strix created by the Swamp Witch, Baba Lasaga, who dwells to the south in Beres. We've been trying to escape, but the Strix have been patrolling the skies and watching for anyone coming in and out, which is why it was so urgent to have you take cover."
03:01:08 Sildir: "Good thing, uh, Good thing we came with you then, although I have to say you look a bit imposing just standing in an open path and suddenly we hear a bunch of shrieking noises and it was a split decision,"
03:01:25 DM: "You'll have to..."
03:01:23 Sildir: "but you seemed normal enough."
03:01:27 DM: "You'll have to forgive me if I didn't take the time to introduce myself."
03:01:32 Sildir: "Sure, of course. No, we understand. But we are here to help you. Erwin was concerned, noting that he wasn't seeing any shipments come in from this vineyard, nor did he have any word from you or any explanation of your whereabouts or why he wouldn't be hearing from you. So we're glad to find you alive. We're not from these lands, but coming here, we've learned to assume the worst."
03:02:02 DM: "Yeah, some of our agents were set out monitoring travelers coming in and out of Madame Eva's camp. So we've heard word that you've been here, but we don't know much of your exploits ever since the Druids moved in."
03:02:22 Sildir: "Right. I forget."
03:02:23 Irredel: "Thank you."
03:02:23 Sildir: "You are the leader of the secret group that Erwin's involved with, yeah?"
03:02:29 DM: "That's correct. much do you know exactly what exactly has the boy told you*..."
03:02:37 Sildir: "Well, mostly that... have a pretty extensive network you guys consider yourselves friends of the feather ravens are a good sign sign of good luck good fortune other good things perhaps uh and you guys identify with that but it's the most of it i think we could definitely have uh an arrangement between us we could use your help at the very least and we're quite helpful ourselves*..."
03:03:12 DM: "well, our organization's name is the keepers of the feather and if you all,"
03:03:18 Irredel: "Thank you."
03:03:19 DM: "if the urban has seen fit to entrust you with this information, then that means you are all our friends of the feather, although It seems we can help each other here. If you can clear out the druids in the winery and take it back for us, then I can give you the full aid of our organization. We'll provide you shelter here in the winery and wherever else we might have any hideouts set up, as well as quick and speedy communication across the valley."
03:04:03 Sildir: "Hmm."
03:04:04 Mercurio: "I mean, do you know anything? You really can't tell us any more about the Druids? Like what prompted them to do this?"
03:04:13 Irredel: "Thank you."
03:04:14 Mercurio: "What do they want with the vineyard?"
03:04:15 DM: "It's very strange. We don't know why exactly the Druids would have attacked the winery, why they're still here, and more importantly, why the Swamp Witch is assisting them. The Druids of the Forest Folk have been occupying the woods around Yesterhill for, well, for as long as people have inhabited this valley. And they've never been good neighbors to us, and we've let them know it. But to mount an attack like this and take over the winery, well, it's a first for them."
03:05:01 Sildir: "Yeah, we saw one. We didn't know as much about them at the time,"
03:05:06 Irredel: "Before peace."
03:05:05 Sildir: "but we saw one pretty far east, just north of Vallaki."
03:05:10 Irredel: "Follow the Sunday."
03:05:12 Sildir: "I wonder if something's driving them out of their home."
03:05:18 DM: "I guess it would have something to do with the witch if she somehow allied herself with them."
03:05:26 Sildir: "Yeah, that's Babalasaga, you say?"
03:05:29 DM: "That's correct."
03:05:32 Sildir: "How far away is she? Do you know where she is?"
03:05:35 DM: "She lies in the ruins of Berez, south of here. Or I should say south and west is where Perez is. No, not west. Sorry. South and east. Southeast is where Perez is."
03:05:47 Mercurio: "So what can you tell us about the selfies towards those mountains? So what do you know about the first people?"
03:06:06 DM: "Let me see. What does he know about the first people?"
03:06:08 Sildir: "Okay."
03:06:09 DM: "Let's see. Let's see. Let's see. If it's information you want, well, how's this? You do this for us, you take back the winery, and I'll tell you all the information you would like to know."
03:06:41 Mercurio: "Well, I mean,"
03:06:42 Irredel: "Yeah."
03:06:42 Mercurio: "it would be quite relevant in trying to help you with these Druids to understand their reasoning."
03:06:51 DM: "Roll me Persuasion."
03:07:05 Mercurio: "Point two."
03:07:07 DM: "22. Let's see. 22 persuasion check. Let me see what he can give you."
03:07:20 Irredel: "you*..."
03:07:25 DM: "Well,"
03:07:27 Sildir: "Thank you."
03:07:27 DM: "I don't know the full history of the first people or their remnants. I know they split into the forest folk and the mountain folk. I know that the forest folk have always inhabited the woods around here, and they haven't exactly been kind to us always, but they've never outright attacked us like this. And I know that about a hundred or so years ago, my ancestor, Livius Mardukov, fought alongside the champion Lugdana against some cult members who are comprised of some of the more dangerous amongst the forest folk. It's possible that they held a grudge ever since, but I can't say for certain."
03:08:19 Sildir: "Thanks."
03:08:20 Irredel: "Thank you."
03:08:20 Mercurio: "So are all the force folk part of this cult?"
03:08:26 DM: "I don't believe so, though."
03:08:24 Mercurio: "Or was it like a fringe thing among them?"
03:08:31 DM: "From what I know, yes, at the time, it was not the whole of the forest folk that were part of this cult."
03:08:37 Mercurio: "Let's see. We spotted someone who I think is from the forest folk on our way here."
03:08:52 DM: "Oh."
03:08:52 Mercurio: "And curiously, we also,"
03:08:54 Irredel: "Bye."
03:08:56 Mercurio: "very curiously, I would say, we spotted one of these druids. But we saw them way out east, like east past even Vallaki."
03:09:11 DM: "It's strange that they would be out so far. I'm not sure what they're plotting."
03:09:18 Mercurio: "Yeah, they're plotting or displaced, maybe, from their usual..."
03:09:24 DM: "Did they seem lost?"
03:09:28 Mercurio: "I mean, not lost, but I'm not sure why he would just move out so far."
03:09:37 DM: "Yes, I'm not sure either."
03:09:39 Irredel: "Thank you."
03:09:39 DM: "There's clearly more to this plot than either of us are aware."
03:09:53 Sildir: "so who is Livius to you*..."
03:09:58 DM: "Let's see. A lot of history here. Let me double check. Well, he was my grandfather. And he was the one who founded this organization, the Keepers of the Feather. I can use a crossbow, but my expertise are not in combat."
03:10:12 Sildir: "are you any good with a bow Okay. Well, seems like you've been through enough anyway. We won't ask you to tag along with us or anything. Well, I guess that settles it then. We'll have to take out these druids, get you your land back at least, get you your safety. We'll continue from there."
03:10:44 Irredel: "so there's druids the strix the swamp witch*..."
03:10:50 DM: "Yes."
03:10:50 Sildir: "Dozens of blights, three greater stricks from Baba Lasaga, and I don't think Baba Lasaga will be here herself,"
03:10:59 DM: "Yes, there are, in total,"
03:10:57 Sildir: "but we could go find her."
03:11:02 DM: "we have done our best to scout the perimeter and the interiors of the winery as best we can. I can't guarantee that this is an exact count, but from what we've seen, there are four druids, eight needle blights, Eight vine blights and more than a few dozen twig blights inside the winery. And the skies above are guarded by three patrolling greater stricks."
03:11:28 Irredel: "Thank you."
03:11:27 DM: "And the vineyard itself is guarded by too many needle blights to count. most importantly, the leader of these druids. he wields this strange magical staff which appears to be the source of the blight strength and the means by which he's controlling them. i i suspect that if you can take the staff and destroy it,"
03:11:54 Mercurio: "Hey."
03:11:53 DM: "the hordes of blights in the vineyard and perhaps any other lights in the area, would likely be either greatly weakened or outright killed*."
03:12:10 Sildir: "Yeah, I think that makes the most sense. I personally don't want to fight, how did you put it, too many blights to count."
03:12:18 DM: "That's right."
03:12:19 Sildir: "I think we'll go for this staff."
03:12:21 DM: "And additionally, well, as your means to enter the winery, this tunnel here, and he points to the tunnel to the south of the cavern, it leads to a secret passage that ends in the cellar of the winery. The entrance to it is concealed and only we know about it."
03:12:52 Mercurio: "Well,"
03:12:52 Sildir: "Oh,"
03:12:52 Irredel: "Oh, sorry."
03:12:52 Sildir: "that's extremely handy."
03:12:54 Mercurio: "that's handy, but I mean,"
03:13:00 DM: "Yes,"
03:12:56 Mercurio: "this seems like a pretty extreme cleanup job to do."
03:13:00 Irredel: "You say."
03:13:00 DM: "I will warn you. Once you enter the cellar,"
03:13:08 Mercurio: "All right."
03:13:03 DM: "you'll have to either sneak or fight your way up through the winery to confront this head druid."
03:13:11 Sildir: "Why is there no way back?"
03:13:15 DM: "What do you mean?"
03:13:18 Sildir: "I mean, we could always turn around, right? You're just saying our path forward would be that*..."
03:13:24 DM: "Yes, but... The druids themselves, they wield some kind of thunder magic, and if they use this against you, then they would likely alert the others inside the winery with the noise they create. So you'll have to be either particularly sneaky or particularly efficient in removing them."
03:13:49 Sildir: "is there any indication*..."
03:13:49 Irredel: "Is there any indication they can be reasoned with? If they're content in the forest for so many years,"
03:13:55 DM: "I don't think..."
03:13:55 Irredel: "surely some of them would want to go back. Why would they suddenly act against you in this way?"
03:13:58 DM: "I can't say, but I don't think reasoning them will be an effective path."
03:14:19 Sildir: "I think they're sweet, right?"
03:14:19 Irredel: "You think they're bewitched or? It just seems surprising."
03:14:17 Mercurio: "What is the swamp which lives?"
03:14:26 DM: "it's possible it's i mean if the swamp witch is involved and well she could be controlling them and if that's the case then you certainly wouldn't be able to reason with them in the ruins of boraz*..."
03:14:49 Mercurio: "Oh, right. You mentioned it. Southeast."
03:14:56 Irredel: "You know. It's it forms."
03:14:54 Sildir: "So do you know for sure that the leader of the druids is going to be in the winery?"
03:15:00 DM: "Yes, we've scattered it out just this morning. We know that he's there."
03:15:05 Sildir: "Or in the building for the winery, not the vineyards, of course."
03:15:05 DM: "He usually he's usually in the upper floors above the loading dock."
03:15:14 Sildir: "Can I get a straight line of sight from the exit to the upper floors?"
03:15:23 DM: "it's perhaps it could be possible that it would be very difficult to do that without catching the attention of the patrolling blights or the districts in the sky*..."
03:15:40 Sildir: "Yeah,"
03:15:40 Irredel: "Listen to me."
03:15:40 Sildir: "recently I've felt a closer connection to Torm and I've been able to, I don't know, pretty much teleport and I'll do like a misty step to show everybody my new ability. I'll just like move like five feet away."
03:15:59 DM: "Are you going to spend that resource right now?"
03:16:03 Sildir: "It's like, what time is it? We're going to let rest, I'm assuming, right?"
03:16:09 DM: "It is about 12. No,"
03:16:13 Mercurio: "You just do a little,"
03:16:12 Sildir: "Like AM as in at night?"
03:16:14 DM: "it's noon."
03:16:16 Sildir: "Oh, noon."
03:16:16 Mercurio: "you do a tiny little, a tiny little two-inch teleport just to show us."
03:16:22 DM: "I will say, if you use the ability, it will consume the resource."
03:16:29 Sildir: "Yeah, I explain or shortly demonstrate Misty Step if that's allowed without consuming any resources,"
03:16:36 DM: "OK,"
03:16:36 Sildir: "let's say."
03:16:37 DM: "sure."
03:16:37 Sildir: "Sure."
03:16:51 DM: "It could be useful."
03:16:45 Sildir: "i'm far from the stealthiest person here but could come in handy if you have any ideas for it*..."
03:16:53 DM: "you might be able to just sneak up in some way with that ability. Yeah,"
03:17:02 Sildir: "yeah all we need to do is break that stuff right*..."
03:17:07 DM: "that's correct. So you'll do it then."
03:17:20 Sildir: "I mean, we came all this way, and we're in an underground cavern with you, and I don't see a lot of other valid ways out of here in any sense. And we came to help, so I'm in."
03:17:34 Irredel: "Okay."
03:17:34 DM: "Your help is appreciated. I can see that you seem to have gotten into some scuffle yourself on your way here. I invite you to take a quick rest here before you go clear out the winery."
03:17:51 Sildir: "Anything but saying short rest, I see. Well, thank you. I think I could use a brief reprieve."
03:18:05 DM: "And as he says that to you, a few things happen here."
03:18:09 Mercurio: "Just a small siesta."
03:18:12 DM: "You see in the crowd behind you, the teenage boy in the back is kind of muttering to himself. But just loudly enough for you all to hear, he says... what does it matter anyway? They're just going to die. And as he says that, you see the woman next to him, presumably his mother, she scolds him and orders him to apologize to you all. And as he does that,"
03:18:46 Sildir: "Thank you."
03:18:47 DM: "one of the other men in the group Let me check. This one is of the two men that look like Erwin."
03:18:54 Irredel: "Thank you."
03:18:56 DM: "This is the younger one who speaks up. He loudly agrees saying the boy is right. These adventurers are wasting their time. There's no possibility that they'll be strong enough to defeat the vampire servants. And he kind of just like glares at you almost as if challenging you."
03:19:22 Saturno: "Okay, so if we can, we just die and then we don't bother you? Isn't that like a win for you?"
03:19:28 DM: "He kind of just scoffs, and then you see the older man, who looks like Erwin, will kind of go up to this guy and try to calm him down. Listen, Elvir, I understand you're upset, but this isn't like Elric. And in response to hearing that, this other man, Elvir, he snarls back, Don't you say his name! And in response to that, Davian will speak up He shouts at all the people here to be silent. And he says, I will not suffer any more disobedience again in this household. And you hear Elvir snap back at him."
03:20:13 Irredel: "you you*..."
03:20:15 DM: "Whatever you say, old man. You're the one who drove Elric away, just like Erwin. And hearing that, Davian's face just kind of goes red. And he just shouts, that's enough. And you see Elvir just, like, kind of just snarls at him and then turns and walks away."
03:20:39 Mercurio: "Wow, you guys really are shut-ins. You haven't heard of our exploits."
03:20:46 Sildir: "Okay."
03:20:46 Mercurio: "No, we took down the Bride of Strahd. So..."
03:20:52 DM: "At this point, Davion has, like... stepped away to speak with his sons, it seems. And one of the other men in the group,"
03:20:47 Irredel: "Thank you."
03:21:03 DM: "this one is the bald man who you think is the father of the teenager who spoke up. He approaches you, well, I'm sorry you all had to see that. I apologize for my in-laws' behavior. They're good people once you get to know them. It's just been a stressful time for all of us."
03:21:24 Sildir: "oh yeah Arwen's fantastic we love him*..."
03:21:28 DM: "Yes, it's a shame that he left those years ago. Well, neither he or Therodavian have ever gotten over it. Let's see. Give me Persuasion. It's going to be a DC 10. Okay, so that's a 23 persuasion check. That'll do it."
03:21:43 Sildir: "I mean do they have some sort of falling out on the way out or is Davion just mad that he left in general persuasion which i'm actually surprisingly good in plus six it's with mercury around i'm like let him roll*..."
03:22:10 DM: "He kind of looks over his shoulder and speaks to you in a slightly hushed tone. Alright, well, 10 years ago, someone stole something valuable from the winery, and it happened under Irvin's watch. Davian... blamed Erwin for the theft. He was convinced that Erwin had been fooling around with his then betrothed, Danica, instead of paying attention. And the two of them got into a huge fight the following morning. And after that, Erwin left the winery for Vallaki and has never returned since."
03:22:51 Sildir: "What was the item that was stolen?"
03:22:51 Irredel: "we'll see you later*..."
03:22:52 Sildir: "Must have been something pretty good."
03:22:52 DM: "Danica It was a prized family heirloom, a gemstone. It's one of Davion's most treasured possessions, and he's never recovered it since. We never found out the culprit. We never knew if Erwin was somehow responsible. And there's more to it than just that. Just over three months ago, Elric, Elvir's twin here, he... joined a rebellion. uh, in the village of barovia um, a group of them marched on castle ravenloft. and elric? well,"
03:23:36 Irredel: "Okay."
03:23:36 DM: "he'd always been bright-eyed and optimistic, a dreamer. he believed in a better future for his loved ones. but well,"
03:23:48 Sildir: "Okay."
03:23:46 DM: "davion forbade him from going and ordered eldrick That if he was going to leave to join this foolish mob, then he should never return for his disobedience. And sure enough, Davion's words came true. Elric died in the castle. And since his death, well,"
03:24:11 Irredel: "Thank you."
03:24:12 DM: "this family has never been the same."
03:24:17 Sildir: "Well, I do have to say those are harsh words for someone you could basically assume dead at the time. I mean, marching on Castle Ravenloft has never gone very well historically. Even I know that, and as you well know, if Davian clues you in on anything from his network, we're outsiders here. We still know that."
03:24:38 DM: "Yes,"
03:24:38 Sildir: "Um..."
03:24:38 DM: "well, it was a tragedy, no doubt. But, well, that was Elric's choice. He chose to fight for what he believes in,"
03:24:48 Irredel: "Thank you."
03:24:47 DM: "and I think that's to be respected. Not all of us feel the same way."
03:24:58 Mercurio: "Yeah, Davian seems like a real prick."
03:25:03 DM: "He's been through much in his life. Yeah."
03:25:18 Sildir: "Well, in any case,"
03:25:21 Irredel: "We've been through a lot."
03:25:22 Sildir: "I speak a little louder."
03:25:22 Irredel: "We've done a lot. We've been through a lot."
03:25:26 Sildir: "Our group here, we've been through a lot."
03:25:28 Irredel: "We've been through a lot."
03:25:30 Sildir: "We've done a lot. We've survived."
03:25:30 Irredel: "We've been through a lot. We've been through a lot."
03:25:38 Sildir: "We've faced Strahd down twice. We defeated his bride. We defeated the monster in the Durst home. and we're not going to be shut down by some stupid druids so all of you put your chin up we're here now and we'll do our best and don't just expect us to die*..."
03:26:06 DM: "You see the man who'd been speaking to you. Well, that's quite the impressive repertoire."
03:26:14 Irredel: "Just give us the."
03:26:17 DM: "I'm sure adventurers such as yourselves could... Well, I think you have this well in hand. I believe in you. My name is Dag, by the way."
03:26:27 Mercurio: "Dog."
03:26:28 DM: "Dag."
03:26:28 Sildir: "His name is Doug."
03:26:29 DM: "Not Dag. Dag. D-A-G."
03:26:31 Mercurio: "Dog."
03:26:32 Sildir: "D-A-G. Okay."
03:26:33 DM: "Yeah."
03:26:34 Sildir: "The in-law."
03:26:35 DM: "Yep."
03:26:37 Irredel: "Well,"
03:26:37 Sildir: "I just took it personally. I mean,"
03:26:38 Irredel: "appreciate the vote of confidence, but candidly, I don't think it particularly matters whether or not you all believe in us to succeed. It doesn't change the expected value, but sure, it's heartening."
03:26:55 DM: "Hmm."
03:26:55 Irredel: "It has no effect on the outcome, though."
03:26:59 Sildir: "Yeah, no, you're right."
03:27:00 Irredel: "Whether we defeat them, or we don't. And you see, we're not from here. We don't We don't have much to lose other than a chance of getting back to our old lives."
03:27:12 DM: "Well, I'm sure you have people who believe in you. And after hearing what you've accomplished, I certainly believe in you. And I think you might find that a little bit of faith can go a long way. So I wouldn't discount it."
03:27:28 Irredel: "No, thank you."
03:27:34 DM: "I see your time here has had its effect."
03:27:40 Sildir: "No. I just didn't always think like this."
03:27:42 Irredel: "my disposition has always been like this*..."
03:27:46 DM: "I see. Well, I hope then at least the others in your group are feeling more optimistic, I hope."
03:28:06 Sildir: "I don't think Iredel is not optimistic. I think she's just saying whatever these people think or not, we'll go take down the druids. Or we won't."
03:28:18 DM: "I see."
03:28:19 Sildir: "She did say that too. But I'm going to say we'll go take down those druids. And Snotnose over there can say whatever he wants."
03:28:27 DM: "Yes, you'll have to forgive my son, Claudio, as well."
03:28:31 Irredel: "I'm sorry."
03:28:30 Sildir: "By the time I was your age, boy, I was on my own farm and my father had left. I was caring for my mother."
03:28:37 DM: "The boy kind of looks up and he flips you off. um, and as, yeah, as soon as he does that, you see his, his mother will like get up and like stand in front of him and start scolding him again. oh that boy,"
03:28:53 Mercurio: "He flicks me off,"
03:28:54 DM: "oh my god,"
03:28:54 Mercurio: "divides my... Yeah."
03:28:56 DM: "yeah*."
03:28:42 Sildir: "I was like, man, he's lucky he's a kid. I was like,"
03:29:02 Irredel: "yeah you can use*..."
03:29:03 Sildir: "yeah. He's not going to take it so personally that he's going to go wallop this guy, but damn, kid deserves it."
03:29:11 Saturno: "I feel like I know someone back in Barovia who you'd get along with."
03:29:16 DM: "Oh."
03:29:18 Saturno: "You remember that? No? What kind of name?"
03:29:21 Sildir: "Victor?"
03:29:22 Saturno: "I'm not good with names. Yeah. Ugh."
03:29:24 Sildir: "Yeah,"
03:29:24 Saturno: "The snob."
03:29:25 Sildir: "you guys can be Victor and Prickter."
03:29:28 DM: "Wow."
03:29:28 Sildir: "You're Prickter."
03:29:29 Mercurio: "Yeah."
03:29:30 DM: "Oh my gosh. If everyone has it already, you can go ahead and short rest. And unless you guys had something else, I assume you're heading for the winery, the cellar, at least."
03:29:58 Sildir: "um, yeah,"
03:29:59 Irredel: "Yeah,"
03:29:58 Mercurio: "I guess we'll be off."
03:29:59 Irredel: "I think we'll stop here."
03:29:59 Sildir: "i think we'll stop here. but yes, that's what we'll do, and if i find this kid's room i'm gonna destroy it,"
03:30:08 DM: "All right. Sounds good."
03:30:10 Sildir: "just saying whatever. i'll ask all the kids their favorite toy."
03:30:17 DM: "yeah,"
03:30:16 Sildir: "we'll do it like that if i, if i find it,"
03:30:20 Mercurio: "Evil."
03:30:20 Sildir: "his shit's getting wrecked,"
03:30:22 Saturno: "I'm gonna accidentally barrel roll into this room."
03:30:26 Sildir: "yeah,"
03:30:26 DM: "oh my gosh,"
03:30:27 Sildir: "roll rolling that one back,"
03:30:26 Saturno: "With my big ass armor. Yeah."
03:30:28 Sildir: "flip in his room,"
03:30:29 DM: "oh my gosh,"
03:30:29 Saturno: "I'm gonna do a backflip."
03:30:31 Ember: "Leave the door open."
03:30:31 Sildir: "fall through the floor."
03:30:33 DM: "you guys are so petty, it's so funny, but yeah,"
03:30:38 Sildir: "hey,"
03:30:38 DM: "well,"
03:30:38 Sildir: "this kid, he's flipping us off and we're here to. we're here to like he's living in a cavern."
03:30:43 DM: "yeah,"
03:30:43 Sildir: "we're like, hey,"
03:30:44 Irredel: "Straight up."
03:30:44 Sildir: "we're here to help and he flips us off."
03:30:43 DM: "he's living in a cavern and he's a. he's an angsty teenager, you know, like his,"
03:30:49 Sildir: "oh yeah,"
03:30:49 DM: "his, his parents and his grandfather are like in some weird argument that he doesn't understand. you know, he's got a lot going on."
03:30:56 Mercurio: "Yeah,"
03:30:58 DM: "yeah,"
03:30:55 Sildir: "Sildur thinks he should pull himself off by the bootstraps and be more polite or lose a couple teeth."
03:31:00 DM: "of course,"
03:31:00 Mercurio: "don't care. I'm erasing his Pokemon save."
03:31:03 Sildir: "Straight up."
03:31:06 DM: "oh my gosh. Well, we'll call it there and next time we'll pick up with you guys heading into the winery."
03:31:14 Sildir: "Nope."
03:31:15 Irredel: "Yeah,"
03:31:04 Ember: "All right."
03:31:15 DM: "But yeah."
03:31:14 Sildir: "I like where this is going."
03:31:15 Irredel: "it's still okay."
03:31:15 Ember: "Sounds good."
03:31:17 DM: "Good session,"
03:31:17 Ember: "Me too."
03:31:17 DM: "everyone."
03:31:19 Mercurio: "Good."
03:31:20 Saturno: "You."
03:31:21 Sildir: "Yeah,"
03:31:21 Irredel: "I wanna see."
03:31:22 Sildir: "just delete that kid. I don't want to see him."
03:31:24 Ember: "Thank you."
03:31:24 Sildir: "I'm going to come back."
